The product doesn't seem to be compatible with Windows 7 . You need to upgrade to Version 6 :

This link should be helpful they have an update for the audio. It's a patch that corrected the no sound.

probaly your speed for recording is set faster check for recording and playback speed

The serial number is provided in the box of the product or in the cd case, the code is different for each sold unit.

Be sure your computer is in either high-performance or low-latency power mode. Windows 7 likes to put computers in a power-saving mode that is great when running on battery but really works against you when working with high-demand software. There should be a battery/power icon on your task bar. Just double click this and change your power option to low-latency (preferred) or high-performance.

Well, this is a simple problem.
You probably have auto-run disabled. So, go to "computer" and you should see your hard disk drives, and anything else connected or inside your computer. Once Music Creator 4 appears, double click it and it should run. Hope I helped in some way. :)

serial numbers dont matter that much, just use this. the computer only needs the number to ensure you didnt make it up (or stole the cd from someone)

Cakewalk 4, is not compatible with Windows 7. I got this information from this page.

In Device Manager (I am assuming you are using Windows XP) you will find your MIDI devices under Sound, Video and Game controllers. It is possible that the MIDI port has not been enabled in BIOS, I have had some PCs where this had to be done first. If Fruity Loops doesn't give you any available MIDI port to use it does not sound as though the PC knows it's there or has installed the driver properly. Start in Device Manager - if there's no MIDI port there or it's not working for some reason you'll have to fix that first.

administrator-right click on music creator and open as administrator.
click allow.

hi mate no worries heres a fix for ya lol in music creator 4 go to transport then click on recording options in the lower part titled "loop recording" click store takes in a single track you done no more bleeding i know that really sux

You should be able to use the internal sound board synth in your computer to do some creating and listen to your creation.

all you have to do to fix this is open music creator 4 go to options then audio click on the advanced tab and select mme 32(bit) then go to the general tab the click wave profiler once scanning your sound card close the wave profiler go to drivers and select your input driver (ie) line in/ mic line in, then the output driver (ie) speakers close the program re-open problem solved hope that helps
