Certificate for sandisk 4gb microsd card
Hello all on fixya, great thread and website, very impressed by the great information on here. I wont go on posting links to our many many stories about this topic unless you all request me to, as many sites see this as spam.
We are developing tools to help those people that are having major issues with loosing data on microSD cards. Many of the cards produced these days are becoming damaged, bent etc. There is no rhyme or reason for these issues, they just happen. microSD's showing a size of 31MB is becoming common, it's a bad situation, it means the card is badly damaged. You will need assistance from an educated professional. :) Yay, right? Well there are some that DO know what's up here. This I promise. :victory:
We are consulting directly with NASA and act as the primary lab for such cases daily, we are in business for over 15 years. There is a sense of desperation these days in dealing with damaged and lost data on microSD's. We are at about a 45% success rate no matter what has happened to a microSD. Many of them are reported as the wrong size, many are not recognized and some have obvious issues such as breaks, cracks etc.
No matter what others say anywhere there is hope for you all that have major issues. microSD cards are considered monolith devices (monolithic). USB sticks and regular SD cards these days can be made with NAND wafers or a complete package, what we call in the industry a monolith storage device. We can get inside these devices by taking off layers with special machinery and we also can use many other options to get around the damage.
I am also looking to collaborate with others on this topic that are engineering minds with experience on this topic. It's a big problem these days as we dig into iPhones, SSD's etc. We are dealing with all storage devices, mostly new technology and we have a global network with some amazing gear-heads to solve all these problems... but I am trying as fast as possible to increase the success rates and expand knowledge on such data recovery cases so please let me know if you are interested in staying in touch ongoing.
I will only say below in my signature who we are and hope we can share and help this thread and community with future success stories, if anyone has questions and MUST have a solution feel free to reach out to me/us.

Cannot format
try to format on another computer or scan with anti virus
Default password
Solution one
- Go to file manager on your mobile
- In Settings choose system folders,
- In the System folder, find a file called mmcstore
- Send the file to your PC using IR/Bluetooth
- Open the file in Notepad
- The password you need for your memory card is located within that file
Solution two
1. Insert your card into your phone, without accessing it through the phone
2. Run FExplorer and Open the path C:\system
3. Find the file called mmcstore, and rename it mmcstore.txt
4. Copy that file (mmcstore.txt) to your PC and open it in Notepad
5. Your password will be located within that file.

How to unlock micro sd
Micro Secure Digital memory cards, or Micro SD cards, provide storage for a variety of different kinds of devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and cameras. They can be protected by passwords so that the information that you have saved on it is secure. Sometimes, the password can be forgotten or lost. Recovering your password is easily done with your computer and SD card reader on your computer. Place the micro SD card into your card reader on your computer. Right-click your "Start" button and then "Explore". Find the micro SD card, it will be listed as a removable drive. Click on the micro SD card and the files will show on the right-hand side. Find the file that says " MMCSTORE" and then select "Copy." Right-click on your desktop and then click "Paste." This will move the MMCSTORE file to the desktop so that you can get access to edit it. Right-click on the MMCSTORE and then click on "Open With." Open the file with Notepad. Read the text to find the password. It will be in plain text. Remove the SD card from the computer and place it into the device for which it is used as storage. Turn on the device. When it prompts you for the password, enter it. Hope this helps.

I have my pics in memory card & its nt copying to my computer . its error coming in it parameter incorrect then hw i can copy my images & i dont want loose those images???????
C:\Users\Bob\Downloads> copy Update.iso F:\will take you here
Why is the second file copy failing?
The hint is the file extension: *.iso, which suggests that this is a CD or DVD image, and DVD images have the feature that they tend to be really big.
Like more than 4
GB big.
USB thumb drives tend to be formatted with the FAT32 file system rather than
with NTFS. And
FAT32 has a maximum file size of 4GB minus one byte.
The user confirmed that the Update.iso file was larger than 4GB and that the USB thumb drive was formatted as FAT32.
Mind you, the error message doesn't help at all in identifying that this is what's going on. I don't know where it's coming from, but my guess is that somewhere inside the copy command, it tries to create the destination file and set its file size. Since the file size is out of range for FAT32, the call fails with the error ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER, and that's what ends up bubbling out to the user.
But at least now you know what the confusing error message is trying to tell you. hope this helps
