Hi, a 4 GB card should be okay for the 2690, as long as it is one of the supported memory card types. The 2690 can accept memory cards up to 8 GB.

The memory was lock. but i want to unlock it

id1102_e3sdhc.gifSOLUTION 1 - Unlock the memory card.

There is a Lock switch on the left side of the SD card. Make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). You will not be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked.

NOTE: If you are using a microSD/microSDHC card or a miniSD/miniSDHC card, insert the card into the standard SD adapter.

SOLUTION 2 - Toggle the lock switch.

If the lock switch is not on lock:
1. Slide the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2. Let it stay on the Lock position for 30 seconds.
3. Slide the switch up to unlock the card.
4. Try to transfer files into the device.

Cannot formate 4GB memory to

If you are trying to format this card through a PC don't bother, it will not work when you install it into the phone.
If you are trying to format this card in the phone, you may find that your phone will not access high capacity type cards as few older phones do, and by older, I mean if the phone is more then 6 months old, the chances are that it will not allow access to the card.
Some phones also have an upper limit to the size of the card they will address and most will not address any card larger then 2gig..
Of course, you may also have a faulty card, even from new, some of the high density cards are faulty..
If you can get access to a smaller card (like say a 1gig), try that in your phone. If it works then you will find that your phone cannot address high density cards.
I have a camera, less then 6 months old, will address normal 2gig cards but it will not allow high density 4 gig cards which is a pain but alas, nothing you can do about it..

Hold the SD card so the label is upright and facing you. Locate the switch on the left side and slide it up to unlock it. If you have a Micro SD card, put it into an SD card adapter. Slide up the switch on the adapter to unlock it.

Insert the SD card into your computer. If you do not have a built-in SD slot on your computer, then connect it with a USB adapter.

Open the Computer icon on the desktop. A window will open with a list of the available drives. Locate the drive the represents the SD card. The name of the drive may differ depending on you named it, or what the default name is.

Right-click on the drive and select Format. If it asks what you would like to format it to, select "FAT32" and click Start.
