In that case the memory chip inside it has failed and cannot be repaired. The card is dead, junk it.

There is a small white button on a slider on that card. Might it be that it has been protected by it?Try sliding it towards the opposite of wich it is and make sure it stays!Then retry!

sometimes while putting the cards back into the device (camera, PC, cell phone, etc) you may be moving the lock. it is located on the back of the card (side without the brand name on it) to the upper right side (with the pins up and facing you) when you slide it up (towards the pins), then it is unlocked.

You will need to use a regular SD Card Adapter for the micro sd card. The micro sd card itself does not have a write protected switch, but a regular SD card adapter will, and that does affect the microsd card. You just need to put it in an adapter, flip the switch to make sure it knows it is "locked" - so switch it to locked first, then switch it to unlocked. From there you should be able to write to the card. If you can not then it is possible the micro-sd card is having physical problems and may need to be replaced. Here is a little diagram showing how to unlock the card. Before you go though please make sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me for you to do so. sounds like the micro card may not be inserted correctly, check that it is in right. if not that, then the adapter may be at fault (bad switch or such)

try using a reader for the card (you can get a fairly good one at wal-mart or k-mart for about $12 USD) and try to copy the files into a new folder on your desktop, then try to read them, if you can read them on the computer, then you can format the card and reload the files back to it.watch out for files that are named something like "ignore my files . ***" or similar (the *** is just for any file type that is there) if you see them, take them out of the folder and be ready to erase them.

Put memory card in your computer. When you do that go to my computer and right click on your memory card and click format!

You may have a damaged card installed in the camera. Either try another card, or try to reformat the card.Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one.If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
