Try this --

Download the HP disc format tool using this link--
http://www.eocfiles.com/bdc86eb1ed2989c30dcd1902e84939ae/bootdisks/SP27608.exe

After downloading the file you need to install this.
After installation, launch the software, and select the Flash Drive Letter and try formatting.
If this does'nt work, plz let me know and I'll give you one more alternative.

Why can't I put a 7gb video on my 16gb Cruzer

I wanted to put a 7gb avi file on my empty "14gb of free space" 16gb cruzer and windows is telling me that there is not enough disk space on my cruzer. I even tried a 4gb avi and got the same error. I tried on a computer with Vista Ultimate and on another with Xp Pro and got the same results. Is there any way to fix this?

I think I know what your problem may be. Check to see how the drive is formatted. Drives formatted with FAT32 cannot transfer files 4GB or larger. Try reformatting the drive to NTFS.

1. Open My Computer
2. Right click on the drive
3. Select Format
4. Under “File System” change it from FAT32 to NTFS
5. Check quick format
6. Click start

I have not tried this yet but if that does not work try this:

1. Right click on My Computer and select Manage
2. Click on Storage
3. Click on Disk Management
4. In the right pane right click on the drive letter assigned to the San Cruz
5. Select format and choose NTFS

I hope this helps. Good luck!

These answers are garbage. You should be using "Roofus," you won't have to do any of that fancy formatting stuff. You can just select the drive and ".iso" file in the program and begin burning. https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Hello

Yes, you can, but you need to download software to do so, just follow these steps to do this.

    Encrypt Entire Flash Drive
  1. Step 1 Download and install the freeware program "Cryptainer LE" onto your PC or laptop. Enter a meaningful password from 8 to 100 characters and define the file location and size, which you can change at a later time. Enter your password when prompted.
  2. Step 2 Install Cryptainer Mobile when the Cryptainer LE installation is complete. Select "Tools" on the menu bar at the top of your screen. Select "Install Cryptainer Mobile" and follow the prompts. The Mobile version comes with the LE download.
  3. Step 3 Close the LE version on your desktop. Select a location and meaningful password for the Mobile version. To protect important files and folders, drag and drop them into the vault, the location of the encrypted files.
Let me know if you don't understand.

Kind regards
Andrea

my usb 4gb flash don my computer only reads in a secure K with 1m

I have just bought a Maxell flash drive memory stick 4gb but when I put it in my computer it only reads in a 'secure K' drive with 1mb capacity - it won't open in removable disk F - giving a message please insert disk. It will only take one photo on the stick!

See http://www.maxell.eu/FAQ2/FAQ.html

Venture USB contain two partitions - one named 'Public' and the other 'Secure'. Unfortunately we have noticed a compatibility problem between these drives and some computers running Windows Vista. In these cases only one drive is showing in 'My Computer' - usually the 'Secure' drive. As a result you are unable to access the user manuals and software which are in the 'Public' drive and cannot alter the partition sizes to allow access to the entire capacity.

Please follow the below instructions to resolve the problem:

1. Connect the USB to the computer
2. Please unzip and run the attached program
3. After completion please unplug the USB
4. Re-insert the USB to the USB port
5. You should now be able to access both drives.

Please click here to download the program and instructions

Rumor from the SanDisk forum that SanDisk has dropped support for U3, thus the U3 Software Central site is gone.

my folders in my usb became shortcut folders, i think it was caused by a virus..help

Yes, it should be caused by virus. Did you format your USB? If you did not, check whether the folders are not in hidden mode. Please follow those steps.
Firstly:
Download "AutorunExterminator" from Cnet http://download.cnet.com/AutorunExterminator/3000-2239_4-10912924.html Extract it --> Double-click on "AutorunExterminator" --> Plug your USB drive now. It will help remove the autorun.inf files from both your usb and the drives.

Secondly:
Click on "Start" -->Run --> type cmd and click on OK.
Here I assume your usb letter as G:
Enter this command.
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the Command Prompt and paste it.
Note : Don't forget to replace the letter g with your pen drive letter.
Press Enter
Now check for your files in Pen Drive.

Thirdly:
After that, download the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from CNET http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
Update it --> Perform "Full Scan" (Note : Default selected option is "Quick Scan")

Hope this hleps.
