Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White - Page 6 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Frigidaire f5
Hell Gina, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand you have already tried resetting the range. It
is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit on. Since the
error code F5 reappeared, it typically indicates a communication error between
the power board and UIB (user interface board). In this case, I would recommend
reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part
is order and installed correctly to prevent future issues. I
hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and
please do not hesitate to reconnect.
F1 beeping
Hi Andrew! Sounds like the unit is having a runaway temperature concern. F1 or F10 indicates the temperature has become too high for the unit. A professional is required to check the sensor probe in the oven. If the oven is overheating,
disconnect its power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, a technician will need to replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
No electricity to range. Can't seem to move the 15
Hi Ms. Grogan-If the power outlet to which this unit is connected to is working, and you have attempted to reset the range at the power breaker in your home without any success. I must recommend that a service specialist diagnose your appliance as the issue may me initiating within the unit wiring. The information provided is not sufficient to be able to determine specific causes. I appreciate your inquiry.
How to unlock the door
Hello pham, thank you for your post! Was the unit previously
set on the self clean cycle? If so, the oven door will remain locked until the
oven temperature has cooled down to a safe level. Try pressing the CLEAR/OFF
key for approximately 15 seconds to see if it overrides the controls. If that
does not working, disconnect power to the range for about 30 seconds and then
turn the range on. Then I suggest setting the time of day and press the
CLEAR/OFF key once again.
If the instructions above do
not solve the problem, then your appliance could possibly be
experiencing a communication problem with the EOC (electronic oven control), a
potential wiring failure, or a faulty door lock assembly. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent
will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You
can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to assist you!
How do i clear my errors
Good Morning Megan, thank you
for allowing me to assist you! One of the best ways to determine if your
appliance has a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by
either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker. It is important to wait
roughly ten minutes and then turn on the unit. I ask that you please follow up
with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to inform me if the error code
does not clear so I may advise you the meaning of the error code and/or
possibilities of the issue the unit could be experiencing. Thank you and best
of luck!
Gibson stove model CEc4S8DX/B how do I turn oven
Good Morning Trudy, thank you for your inquiry! Being that
it is a 1994 unit (nearly two decades old); Frigidaire no longer has
information available. That being said, we do know that the unit is an electric
range, so it would be safe to assume the unit would have similar instructions
of some of Frigidaire rated
ranges. Since many Frigidaire ranges today are
built more energy efficient, it may be a good idea to check some of the
newly-rated models to get the best value for your hard-earned dollars.
Electronic Relay Control
Good Afternoon C, error code F20 does indicate part
replacement on the ESEC-UIB (User Interface Control), located behind the console on
the side of the actual display. I would recommend, however, running a quick
test to ensure that this is not a false error code. You do this by resetting
your oven by flipping the breaker or unplugging the unit for approximately ten
minutes. If resetting the unit does not correct the issue, please reach out to
an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part is ordered and
is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this information helps
to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to
reconnect.
Frigidaire oven wont heat up but stovetop and digital all works
Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control
board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as
the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is
correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from
heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.
F2 f3 starts beeping when using stove or oven
F2
Oven temperature too hot

Hello KC - You may try and reset the cook top by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to 30 seconds by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. This often clears most false error codes. If the lock symbol does not clear, then the unit more than likely may be experiencing an issue with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control), user interface board or a potential wiring failure. This is not a typicaly do it yourself job; please consult a professional or your manufacturer.

Lock light is flashing when I push bake it says door
Hello meathead4094 - Often when the LOCK light is flashing, it is because there is door malfunction. Try reprogramming the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. Typically, this will clear the flashing. If issue persists, the range could possibly have a faulty door latch, light switch or EOC (electronic oven control). I would strongly recommend contacting a professional to get the appropriate diagnosis prior to make any unnecessary part replacements.
Dr error message
