It needs a new flow meter. I replaced the one in mine and now it works fine. I took the old one apart and the little magnet inside is a ferrite magnet which rusts over time when it comes in contact with water ( duh). If the new one does this I am going to just replace the little magnet with a rare-earth magnet which will cost about $1 or less and shouldn't rust out. I am wondering if the company changed the magnet in the new flow meter so this doesn't happen or if planned obsellesants, just last long enough to get it out of warranty, is the company's motto. The new flow meter was around $30 when the added the $9 for shipping.

Hi, A latte can be made to suit your own taste, but as a starting point I would suggest:Steam your milk first to 140 f, let it rest for at least 30 seconds( the temp will continue to rise up to around 160-180 f while the milk is resting make your espresso shots; I like quite a strong coffee so I would make 2 shots using the double measure (once the coffee starts flowing this should take 15 seconds)pour your shot(s) into a cup/mug first then top up to about 5mm from the rim of the cup with milk, holding the froth back with a spoon. finally knock out any bubbles by banging the milk jug on the worktop ( this can be messy until you get good at it). using a spoon/ swirling the jug mix the foam and remaining milk until combined then top up your cup. this gives the smooth foam on the top of the latte. Hope this helps, Leni

Insufficient pressure to force water through coffee
Propably the vibrating water pump is the problem.
It might be full of scale and it can not create any pressure or it is completetly damage and need to be replaced.
First we sugest to perform a descaling of the machine and try again.
Second you should try to reduce by little the quantity of the grounded coffee used. Aprox you should use 7 to7.5 gr of coffee. If you try to use about 6 to 6.5 and you have the coffee runing out from the machine like in 25 sec you have about 30 cc of water. Then try to clean the group shower which it can be ansrew by one cetrer screw and if you can you can open the machine and remove to clean also the coffee group solenoid valve. Bothe the valve and shower can be full of dry coffee that can blocked the way of water coming to the grounded coffee.
If you manage to clean everything above and the machine work ok so from now on in order to avoid the problem again try to flush water from the group many times without any coffee. With this is like you wash the group shower and valve from any remai coffee.
Good luck

When trying to steam milk, very hot water comes
It seems that your problem is the one mention second that no water come out for coffee. So every time you try to make coffee the boiler is overflow and you have more water from steam tap.
So you have to clean the coffee shower on coffee group head since this might be blocked by dry coffee. Also the coffee solenoid valve could be also blocked from dry coffee and it can be removed and cleaned with a wire brush. It can be also be damage and most posible the solenoid coil burn out so you might need a new solenoid. So I beleive if you solve the coffee group blocked problem then you might have solve also the steam problem,
Good Luck

'Automatic maintenance on the screen = ground coffee ejected
All of these automated coffee machines need regular maintenance. When was it professionally services by the dealer? My 6 machines in an airport environment needed service every 4 months. At home, probably every 12 months. Seals need replacing and moving parts cleaned and lubricated. In my opinion these machines are totally unsuited for home use. So many issues show up on this website and all makes, but Saeco are the worst..
