Bring the Sandisk cruzer to any computer store that offers data recovery and back up or data retrieval. We called them the Data Recovery Center.

Most of them has a software they use in cracking passwords and other secured programs. From their computer, they could actually back up your important files saved in your Sandisk. Then you may now reformat your device.

If you have Nero software on your pc, that can cause a conflict and your Sandisk may stop working correctly. What i did was to send back my pen drive because Sandisk admitted they have issues with Nero. I hope they are as accommodating with you also

That PC, have some Group policy settings or the restrictions for installing new device.
You have to be admin to do this, probably that account is not "ADMIN" but a power user you are talking about.

Try this on your PC again or some 3rd PC.
If the problem prevails, you have to get the admin rights, this could only be the problem.

Reset the whole memory stick via the PC should jog the memory and make it work.

hi, can i anwer this.... pls try using your scandisk again and right click on it then go to properties... inside the properties of your disk you can see a three options you can see there: general, and the two others... just explore on it...

or... if the files inside your disk is not very important / or even it is important as long as you have some back up copy of the said files... all you have to do is... right click you disk and find " format "... you have to reformat your disk in order for you to use it again... thank you very much...

Take it in to have the data ripped off it there is a connector that is loose inside from yanking it out of the pc without ejecting the memory card this is the only solution i can provide at this time so please do not hate and give me a good rate..

Download the U3 installer from www.u3.com. It should solve the problem. Good Luck.

I think the problem is corrosion on the contacts. Shut the computer off. Gently insert and remove the USB drive several times to try and clean the contacts. Turn the computer ON and when Windows has set up properly, insert the USB drive and see if you can read it. Many of the new drives and reader ports do not use gold contacts (too expensive) but use copper or aluminium which corrode easier an easiest.

Try them in another user name, or if still no good try another machine. Go into "my computer" and see if it is showing the drives are recognised, if not restart the machine with the drives connected. If you still can't get in, you may have to call sandisk to get a solution from their proprirtary software. If you used another user account,or machine, that may be it

What the reciever you use?

If it's really compayible and support the usage of Flash Drives then the problem can be easily solved by removing U3 that comes pre-installed on these Flash Drives.

the file you are trying to open cannot find compatible software on your computer to open it with. This may be a problem with file association in Windows though. If it's a typical JPG or BMP, Windows should have no problem with it. Do you know what type of image format you are trying to open? You can right-click on the file and select Properties to finsd out more information about the file.
