If the unit is stock on highest volume and one channel only, the tact switch must be check, open the back cover, pull-out the board and spray an electrical contact cleaner into this switch while pushing on and off to clean its internal contact. You may also replace it all, it will not cost you much because it is one of the cheapest parts on the board.
Let me know if the symptoms still persist after the above solution had been done.

The problem is the color processing ic or the crystal that locks the color on frequency. The set should be returned for exchange.

Go into the menu, select "add / delete channels" then follw the on screen instructions on step by step deleteing of channels.
