My guess is a dry solder joint on the board or a bad connection to it. Or the control board itself is faulty.

check the door switch,if this switch is bad dryer wont work,this is a spdt type switch as it runs the drum light when doors open and lets machine start and operate with door closed

One of the checks this unit performs when it starts is the drum belt, if the belt has slipped, broke or stretched, it wont start. You have to remove the top of the unit to see the drum.

Is there a position on the dial showing a symbol for a tub with a line above it? if it has position this against the mark and switch on then the pump will empty the sump into the water container and the machine can then be reset for normal operation
