F1 error code
Revolt! If you own a Kenmore Oasis (built by Whirlpool) or Whirlpool
Cabrio washer, and you are getting the "F1" error code...or similar
codes, and nothing you do fixes the problem...REVOLT!
Three options: Join the class action lawsuit, sign the petition, or be a
just another chump consumer. All info is below. I for one, have HAD IT
with a 1000.00 washer that breaks after one year.
Here is the class action law suit info. I got
this email a couple of days ago. Remember, these Kenmore Washers (built
by Whirlpool) are basically the same machine as the Whirlpool Cabrio:
"Thank you for your interest in pursuing a lawsuit against Sears
relating to the Kenmore HE4t and HE3t Washing Machines. This lawsuit is
currently being handled by the law firm of Seeger Weiss, LLP. Sheller,
P.C. is co-counsel on the case. Your inquiry submission will be
forwarded to Seeger Weiss, and you will be contacted by a Seeger Weiss
representative shortly."Read more:

New dryer smells hot
It is not unusual for new appliances, espicially high heat ones like a dryer to smell hot. Also if this is your first gas appliance it might smell different than your old dryer if it was electric. Keep an eye on it when using it to see if you see any smoke. Also check your venting to make sure it is all clear with no blockage.
Button
I pulled the circuit board out of this part and used a piece of duct tape to secure the broken plastic keeper that aligns the plastic button actuator with the switch on the circuit board. I've searched for this part too and can't find it. You can buy the whole control panel for $150. The duct tape might last a couple days or a couple years. As long as the plastic holder doesn't become dislodged it should last a long time. Another reason why I hate plastic parts - they break. Good luck in finding this part - if you ever do post your solution here.
