Is the dryer vent blocked with lint? If there is a restriction in air flow in the vent system, the dryer will stop. Make sure the vent path is completely clean even in the wall where the vent hose connects.

Revolt! If you own a Kenmore Oasis (built by Whirlpool) or Whirlpool Cabrio washer, and you are getting the "F1" error code...or similar codes, and nothing you do fixes the problem...REVOLT! Three options: Join the class action lawsuit, sign the petition, or be a just another chump consumer. All info is below. I for one, have HAD IT with a 1000.00 washer that breaks after one year. EITHER BAD FELT GLIDES, ROLLERS OR DRUM BEARINGS

It is not unusual for new appliances, espicially high heat ones like a dryer to smell hot. Also if this is your first gas appliance it might smell different than your old dryer if it was electric. Keep an eye on it when using it to see if you see any smoke. Also check your venting to make sure it is all clear with no blockage.

I pulled the circuit board out of this part and used a piece of duct tape to secure the broken plastic keeper that aligns the plastic button actuator with the switch on the circuit board. I've searched for this part too and can't find it. You can buy the whole control panel for $150. The duct tape might last a couple days or a couple years. As long as the plastic holder doesn't become dislodged it should last a long time. Another reason why I hate plastic parts - they break. Does your drum light cut on and off with the opening and closing of the door

Yes probably need new felt on back end of drum. Very common.

don't forget the exhaust tube coming from the back of the dryer and leaving the building. those can get pretty restricted with lint. Another place to look is inside the cabinet for lint. Getting these cleaned regularly can prevent a fire.
