are you in India, paid Rupee's for it. 1800? new. $26 new is toy keyboard, and finding manuals for toys is not easy. 1billion web sites now, and Sanchez is hiding under a rock. time to upgrade, or just play with it for fun, no book fun. new or used,? its not a computers it is a kids toy piano/organ keyboard a crude musical instrument. take it back to the store, try a 2nd one. it's no good. sound dead sound weak sound distorted the knob has no effect at all on level of sound "volume" or what? Hold down top C key whilst turning, this initiates a factory reset so any settings you have made resulting in the smear should be returned to normal.

If it has a sequencer/ recorder built in, you have the ability to change the pitch/ detune by using some key strokes after initiating the program mode. I have seen those speakers fail and had to replace. Easy to check with a volt/ohmmeter. As too the panel lights. You may have unplugged something opening the lid.

Hairdryer - blow a hairdryer over the keyboard and buttons for about 5-10 mins or so. Be careful not to melt plastic !!! Works for me.

I would say the ROM is NG. It is functioning marginally and needs to be replaced or, if possible, reflashed.
