My daughter got a SK560 Keyboard as a present and we cant get the volume to work
new or used,?
its not a computers it is a kids toy piano/organ keyboard
a crude musical instrument.
take it back to the store, try a 2nd one.
it's no good.
sound dead
sound weak
sound distorted
the knob has no effect at all on level of sound "volume"
or what?
"to work"means not much sorry....
did you read the manual first? have one? get one,.
we are in USA, I seem this thing sold in UK not here.

Hold down top C key whilst turning, this initiates a factory reset so any settings you have made resulting in the smear should be returned to normal.

If it has a sequencer/ recorder built in, you have the ability to change the pitch/ detune by using some key strokes after initiating the program mode. If your not sure how to do that, try unplugging the keyboard for thirty seconds and push the power button while it's unplugged, then plug it back in. Any better? What model is it.

Depending where you are, you gotta check with your Yamaha distributor, or else on Amazon. Then get a tech to take the thing apart (ugh) and replace them keys.

The Sustain pedal does not work.
When push comes to shove, a factory reset never hurts.
Assuming you'd like to proceed with a factory reset, follow these steps:
This procedure makes it possible to restore the S08 to the original factory-installed Internal Voices, Multis and System settings.
WARNING: The current settings for all Multis and User Voices will be deleted. If the current settings and data are not expendable, create a backup before executing the Factory Reset.
1) Press the [UTILITY] button.
2) Press the [JOB] button. The 'FactorySet' screen will be displayed.
3) Press the [ENTER] button. The 'Sure?' message prompt will appear.
4) Press the [INC/YES] button to execute the Factory Reset. The 'Completed!' message will be displayed to indicate the procedure has been successfully executed.
5) Press the [EXIT] button to return to the Utility Mode.
I have Yamaha PSR 1100
Hairdryer - blow a hairdryer over the keyboard and buttons for about 5-10 mins or so. Be careful not to melt plastic !!! Works for me.
