Vtech V.Smile Adapter Questions & Answers
V-smile will not turn on
My kids had there v-smile for about 11 months then it would not turn on so I called the v-tech help line 1-800-521-2010 I had to stay on hold for about 30 minutes then had to deal with a lady that was very rude to me but she did help solve the problem...she told me to unplug the adapter, take out all batteries and make sure everything is unhooked from the game then hold the on button down for 1 minute (NOT THE ON AND OFF) and that will restart the system.. I made sure i tried it before i got off the phone with the lady because i didnt want to wait another 30 minutes to talk to someone again...It did help my problem...hope this helps you.
I just purchased an adaptor for the vsmile
You have to take out the Batteries.
also, the connector on this adaptor is incorrect for some Vsmile consoles. (most that are about 5 years old now).
Make sure you are using the right plug, and it is inserted fully into the console with no batteries. Then, it should work.
The on/start button on the computer has stopped
What kind of computer, is it laptop or PC!!!
If laptop, you should recharge the battery using it's charger.
If PC, then you should replace the power supply unit inside the CPU, remove the screw from behind, then replace it with same type or equal with your CPU needs.
V-smile stopped turning on
unplug everything take out the batteries and hold down the reset butten in back and if that does'nt work call v.tech help line at this number 1-800-521-2010. hope this helps
V SMILE NOT WORKING
There is a defect in there line of manfacture alot of there v smiles had to be sent back . there is no way of fixing them it will have to be repalced and not promissing it will fix the problem as it will probably happen again as there line is faulty i would box it back up return it back to the shop with your docket and get a refund and buy your daughter some thing else.
V-smile crashed
Our daughter got one last christmas, after 6 months or so, it has stopped working. It was a present from grandama and I don't think it has a warranty, certainly no receipt can be found. It's very dissapointing and I have heard from other parents who bought this V-Smile that theirs just stopped working too for no reason. We thought it was the batteries, so kept buying more, then we got the adaptor, still won't work. Now and then it works, but not often.

I have a V-Tech Touch and Learn Activity Desk Deluxe. How do I take it apart?
Hi there, there doesn't seem to be any specific information online for how to take it apart, but I've attached the user manual as a link to reverse the process. It seems you can easily remove the "shoulders" from the "base", all four legs can be detached easily, and the stool has removable legs as well.
Hope this helped.

My vtech vreader won't read the sd card. Tried everything posted on this site and more. Please help!
Hey there, seems like you've already tried many solutions.
May I suggest checking if the SD card has been formatted before its first use (check to see if your SD card is formatted as a FAT16 or FAT32 partition). I have attached a link with further details on doing this.
Also make sure your SD card is not in write-protected mode (the Lock switch on your SD card should be in the off position) and try again.
As well, make sure you have the most updated software on your device.
If nothing else works, I got the below text from the Vtech website.
"If you have a problem that cannot be solved by using this manual, we encourage you to visit us online or contact our Consumer Services Department with any problems and/or suggestions that you might have. A support representative will be happy to assist you. Before requesting support, please be ready to provide or include the information below:
• The name of your product or model number (the model number is typically located on the back or bottom of your product). • The actual problem you are experiencing.
• The actions you took right before the problem occurred.
