if you are new to texting then this phone is good for you as it has the full keyboard

to send a message with the phone, open it so you see the full keyboard

on the screen to the left you will see on the bottom it say "message"
click the button directly beneath it

choose 1. new message
1. txt message

you can now either type the number or add it from contacts (bottom right it says add, click the button underneath and choose from contacts and go through the list until you find someone you want to text. press ok and then press the button on the left under where it says done on the screen)

press the down arrow until you get to the body box and start typing what ever you would like to text

then press the OK button and you are all set... you have sent your first text messagE!!!!

it would be a problem of your input device of your mobile show at the mobile store it would be solved

Sounds like the software in the phone is corrupt. Take to a Verizon Wireless repair center and see if you can have it reflashed. Call ahead of time or visit verizonwireless.com to ensure that they can repair the phone.
You might also see if you're eligible for a new phone with a two year contract. That phone is an older model and it might be time for your upgrade.

is the sound up? mute isn't on is it? check your settings to make sure it's set to sound an alarm

mine did the same thing, three times.. I took it back and they said it was a gliche in the phone and i got a new i have had to do this three times now. Lg Dares are not worth it!

Well I had that problem and I called verizon. Then they sent me a new phone. So try calling them and see what happens. They will most likely send you a new phone or have a solution for it. Sorry I did not have a answer to help you right now but thats my best suggestion.

if she can get to either the yahoo or MSN messaging screen then go to options and then select preferences and then go down to reset application and follow the steps it will erase her buddy list but it will restore once she signs in again.

I have verizon, had the similar problem. Call *611 speak to someone in tech support, and have them send you out a replacement phone. If your closer to a store you can do the same thing, don't have to wait for the mail ha ha. Good luck though! Hope I've been of some assistance!

Verizon allows you to recieve a warranty replacement device for devices not purchased through verizon at a 50 dollar cost, Some representatives from verizon do not know this and you sometimes have to remind them to look in their M&P's which is their method and procedure page to find policies if they are still reluctant make sure you request for a supervisor. And also by policy water damage can only be determined by corrosion on the device (which rarely ever happens) and the sticker is not used because of the fact that humidity it self voids that sticker. You need to go to the verizon wireless page at verizonwireless.com, go to feature and downloads, ringbacktones, go to the over view page then sign in, go to the profile and where it says greeting, click on modify and choose no greeting.

if you dont want too. get a memory card and
put everything on it but ringtones and calendra stuff.
pictures, vidoes, and sounds can only go it on.
