Try upgrading the firmware on it. It depends mostly on what you are using on the device. If you do a lot
of data-centric things like constant emailing, surfing the web, YouTube,
etc. then you are going to use more battery. Applications running in
the background also eat up battery life to keep active. Bluetooth uses
more battery compared to using the phone itself. Lots of texting eats up
battery life as well, both incoming and outgoing. Wi-Fi eats up battery
like there is no tomorrow on just about any device. The TouchFlo 3D
interface also uses more battery due to the graphics acceleration. You
can turn off the TouchFlo interface to save battery power and go back to
the regular Today screen. The device was tested for battery life with
TouchFlo enabled however so that's more of an icing on the cake type of
change for more power.
You
may also want to try deep cycling the battery to see if that helps. Run
the battery completely dead so it won't turn on the device anymore. The
let it charge for 10-12 hours without the device on. That should cycle
the battery and recalibrate the meter.
There
are many diffferent reasons you could have lower battery life, it's
always different for different people. HTC managed to keep the Touch
Pro's battery life around the same as the Mogul even with the graphics
acceleration and everything running. So simply turning off TouchFlo will
probably increase total battery life by a bit.
you could upgrade to a higher MAH battery too.
