Once the device is recognized by your computer, locate the icon for the drive and select it, right click and scroll down to the format option on the context menu. Be sure you don't format over a drive that has necessary files as formatting will erase all files on the drive. Assuming you are connecting these to a computer to delete stuff.... Once you open the drive right click the file or folder you are trying to delete and choose properties. Once properties opens you will see "read only" make sure the box is not highlighted or checked ... if it is un-check or UN-highlight it by clicking the box. then try to delete the file.
