GE micro died
The main fuse is the probable cause, magnetron, "heart of the microwave oven" the inverter board, "if 7 years old or less" and the keypad control board can be a factor.
Locate the fuses in jvm2070
Fuse is located on the right side under the keypad, follow wiring to main board, should see a small fuse clipped in, pop it out and replace with same current rating. Before you do this unplug microwave, and discharge high voltage capacitor "silver and rectangular in shape" under plastic flap near fuse. One thought the voltages are lethal when running.
How to check control panel fuse
It depends of course on the brand and model number, but here are some basic guidelines. On a counter top microwave, the fuse is usually located between the door switches or on the noise filter board near where the AC cord enters the chassis. On an over the counter model, the fuse is usually located behind the grille or control panel, or sometimes on a noise filter board near where the AC cord enters the chassis. Some tips here:

The keypad of my Profile 2.0 over the counter
Remove power for 15 minutes and see if the clock resets. However if there is no action on the control panel the fault can be either due to a faulty control pad, a faulty board.Unless the unit is removed to check there is no other option.
Rang lights underneath unit don't work
This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament
shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first
unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a
failure on the controller.
This can often also affect the exhaust fan, cooling fan, turntable, and/or inside light operation, too.
We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which
we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid with a one year
guarantee.Or you can buy and replace the control circuit board.
Details of our service are at
our Web site, along with a video showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Micro doesnt heat
The magnetron (the part that heats the food) may be bad or the circuitry to the magnetron may have burned out. Basically my advice is that if you have no electrical expertise, it isn't worth fixing. The magnetron if bad, costs almost as much as a new microwave. If you open it up (make sure it has been unplugged for a few hours and don't seen any obvious burnt parts (including a fuse), then most likely the magnetron is done and a new microwave is the way to go.
Let me know how this works out for you.
