You would have shorted some thing out a fuse may be on a pc board. Check the light socket as well . You could also google make and model for a manual

sounds like its not on high power.. Some microwaves have a popcorn button..This is usually automatically a high setting.Try putting your water in then hit popcorn...If the water heats up faster then your power settings are set wrong. You just need to change them. Your not set on high power..

Check for 110VAC at the primary of the power transformer. If not present check microswitches.

Check your user manual. It should describe how to reset this light. These types of service filter indicators are activated after a set amount of time determined by the manufacturer has elapsed. Is your glass turntable sitting on the rotator correctly? If it is even slightly misaligned it will make terrible noise.
