F9 is a failure of the door latch system, more likely the switch that tells the system it's closed. Replacement switches are inexpensive, see: http://www.electronix.com/microwave-repair-switchescouplers-c-557_564.html
The door handle can easily be replaced on MOST microwave ovens by removing the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to access and replace the door handle:
The average cost for a replacement handle (if required) usually runs about $20 - $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided. Several of these sites also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with parts identification and how disasemble/reassemble your appliance. The door handle is a simple repair that can be done with the door in place, or with the door removed. You do not have to uninstall the oven if this is an over the range model.
NOTE: If you wish to remove the door, all you need to do on most models is open the door all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. You may have to remove the grille cover located above the door on some models to accommodate being able to lift the door.
If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
This may sound a bit nuts, but remove the glass tray and support ring. Clean the wheels and ring. Also clean the glass and microwave surface where the wheels run. Any tiny bit of debris will stop the wheels from turning, and make a rattling noise. If that doesn't help, you may need a new turntable motor.
What did LG say? Did they say that they were going to send new covers? A lot of people get confused and think that this site is directly linked to different companies. But we just help people solve do-it-yourself problems. Are you wanting to know where to get new covers? Or are you wanting new light bulbs? I would suggest calling LG again. This should be taken care of by them. The unit is too new to be having this type of problem. But if there is anything I can help you with, I would be more than happy to try to answer any questions that I may be able to answer for you.
Most likely the touch panel is bad. You can try ordering a new one from repairclinic.com by searching with your model number. If you find that replacing it doesn't help, return the panel within 30 days and you are only out the shipping costs. With what you describe, it should be the panel itself. Let me know what you find out.
Remove all the external screws, if there are any tabs holding the outer cover on, you will need to bend them a bit with pliers. After the outer shell is removed, you now have access to the control panel which can be removed by removing the mounting screws and disconnecting the plug in wires.
The
first thing I would suggest is a hard
reset. Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
If that doesn't work,
leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.
If it's still not working, you probably have a bad membrane keypad.
Direct spraying of
cleaners on the keypad and steam from the
cooktop can damage the controls.
I always recommend that
you spray non-ammonia
cleaner on a
soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the
keypad.
And I always recommend
that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove
top to keep heat, steam, and
grease out of the controls and door panels.
If it does not dry out
over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.
If the keypad is bad, you may need to replace the control panel frame, which comes with a new keypad.

it is the manetron, the device that produces the RF that cooks. my suggestion is to return it or warranty it, as it could be something simple as a fuse but my guess is its a circuit board issue.
If the microwave oven won't start, You can reset. Power surges like nearby lightening can cause the oven to stop
working as a safety measure, but you can reset it easily. Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display,
Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and
wait a moment. Plug the microwave back into the wall power supply to
reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset
the time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to
set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for
the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock.
Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo).
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.
Then you can see the screws you need to check and tighten, etc.
