Home and Favourites icons dimmed and not working

Have you tried charging it for a couple of hours? If you did not use the tomtom for quite some time, the internal battery will discharge. Try charging it for a couple of hours by using a wall-charger or use the usb to pc cable.
Does the green light turn on (indicating its charging)?
If this all doesn't help, you should contact tomtom service center. A local number can be found here: http://support.tomtom.com/

Try contacting TT and see if they can send you the files (or they may want it back to do a restore).
Always back up your GPS before doing anything.

After 1 minute it disconects, even with all baterry, especially when is lokking for satellite. and never find`s it

No. TomTom can only be used with TomTom maps. The best you could do is program a favorite by copy and pate front he USB interface on the TomTom.

1. In driving view, tap the map to enter the main menu
2. Locate the "Preferences" icon (looks like a wrench or a gear, depending on software version) and tap it.
3. Cycle through the menu pages until you see an icon with three flags (UK, German, Dutch) and tap it.
4. Select your language from the list that opens.

Map updates are not free, with the exception of a few units. Check your box, as they sell some units with lifetime maps and traffic.

common battery problem. false massege from battery , in real battery is done, change the battery.

I am not familiar with this model ... is there no battery in the device? You have it plugged into the car power outlet?

I would suggest if it is the case, there is a battery and it it a good and fully charged battery, try unplugging the cord from the unit the the vehicle before you shut off the car. The battery (if there is one) should take over and power the unit while you are gone. I think the power cord shuts the battery power off. If there is no battery, leave the car on the accessory position until you get back.

Just follow these simple steps

1.Touch the screen for the menu
2.on page 1 of 3 on the menu, touch the blue wrench (change prefs)
3.press the black right arrow key to page 4 of 7 in preferences and touch the flags icon
4.press your desired language

I had same problem with my ONE 2nd edition today near London UK. Reset worked for me thankfully. I wonder if someone changed something up there today?

Have you tried to go back to tomtom and try again?

most of these have this problem please try reset the tom tom
