pull the knobs off, there are nuts under the knobs, unscrew them and slide the panel off, underneath you should be able to get to it,remember, you heat food there and unplug it,dont spray bugspray on it,figure out where they are getting in and put boric acid in the way so they will drag it to their den and kill them, boric acid is better known as cockroach powder, but,it works on all bugs
F7 is a stuck key. Usually you can't get a key unstuck. Best thing to do is replace the keypad / user interface. Here are some of GE's error codes:
GE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes
Failure CodeConditionCheck/Repair
F0 and F1
Failed Thermistor Control
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)
F2
Oven temp exceeds 590 w/ unlocked door
High resistance or interference in oven temperature sensor. Replace oven temperature sensor
F3
Open oven temperature sensor circuit
Replace oven temperature sensor
F4
Shorted wire (Oven temperature sensor)
Locate and correct
F7
A = Function pad button stuck or B = Bad clock
Unstick button or Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)
F8
Component Failure
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)
F9
Program w/ door circuit
Check wiring
The problem is the control panel, it is malfunctioning, you will need to replace it. Turn power to the oven off at your home's circuit breaker box. Remove the
three screws from the control panel with the crescent wrench. The
control panel is on the outside of the oven, above the door handle. Pull
the bottom of the control panel toward you, then lift it up. This
action will release the control panel cover's tabs. Identify the malfunctioning part. The mechanism that operates the door
latch during the self-cleaning cycle will be behind a smooth, square
plate held in place with two screws. White, black and red wires, as well
as a grounding wire, will be protruding from the face of the plate.
These wires will be twisted together with other control panel wiring and
covered with electrical wire caps.Remove the failed part by removing the caps and untwisting the wires.
Using the crescent or an appropriate wrench, extract any screws holding
the plate in place. The cylindrical-shaped mechanism will be attached to
and behind this plate. Visit a hardware store to acquire a
replacement part. To reassemble, slide the new mechanism into where the
old one was and reattach the plate with the screws. Reconnect the wires
by twisting them together and replacing the electrical wire caps. Replace the control panel by slipping the top of the panel into its groove and angling the panel downward. With this, it should function properly.
F0 Error indicates a bad control board and the control board
(electronic control) should be replaced to solve this issue. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance.
shut down the power to the machine, disconnect the touchpad ribbon, turn the power back on and let it sit for a day,if the code comes back you have a bad board,if it doesn't come back you have a bad touchpad
Your switch isnt right ,check the wiring on the switch or make sure the switch is closing or opening when its suppose to,you should hear a click each time it opens or closes. your problem is in the switch area no where else, the computer on the oven needs tosee that switch input and doesnt
These codes indicate an over temperature condition. The F2 & F3 error codes both mention the temp sensor. The temp sensor is mounted inside the oven cavity & regulates the oven set temperature. If the temp sensor fails the oven could overheat. This is what generates the error codes. I recommend having the temp sensor checked with an ohm meter, at room temperature the sensor should ohm out at approx 1100 ohms. If the sensor checks ok, then the control will need to be replaced.
Looking at this picture if you have already replaced part#16
which is the oven control then check the oven latch mechanism as if this part
goes bad the control will sense that the door is not closed and so the fan won't
run resulting in the oven not turning on. Hope this helps...please post back
for further assistance.
It's no fault code for F1 mwans the clock timer is inoperative You can send the clock to CGI Limited in Illinois for repair call 866 737 2244 or go to www.cgiltd.com for further info. This will probably cost 150-200,be sure before you invest that much that it is worth the expense.

One of your "switches" to your burners is shorting causing unit to spark when in the off mode, or, you may have a bug problem, bugs have made their way into the spark module.
1: if no bug problem, disconnect stove from electricity, lift top up, remove all of the single connections to each switch to top burners(make sure they don't have any bare wires touching the frame), then plug unit back in, if still sparking then replace module.
In order to save your sanity, you'll want to "reset" your oven. Turn off the breaker for the oven circuit for about 20 seconds and then bring it back to the ON position. If you're handy enough to make your own repairs on the oven then you'll want to go to "www.repairclinic.com" to find out what you need to do to troubleshoot your F-7 code.
If you dont see it around the door or inside the stove you'll have to raise the top and it should be there somewhere. The part number for the glass top I can get for you if I have the model number
Question edited for clarity.
The bake element failed? Test for continuity.
If it has a fan, test that too.
If it is electronic, check the thermistor temperature sensor.
For suspected control panels or mainboards, I always suggest dealer service so you get the correct diagnosis and warranty on the parts and the job. They are also expensive.
