This is a beast of a sub woofer. So give it the proper power it needs and make sure that your box is very solid in construction.
If installed correctly and given the right power, this sub woofer is bound to put a smile on your face and rattle your bones.
I hit 142dB with only one of these subs and im sure if i gave it more power i could hit the 150dB range. DON'T FORGET TO GIVE IT THE POWER IT DESERVES.
Have fun

How can i get a CD to eject from a Ford 500
Get a paper clip, unbend one end of it leaving one side for you to hold onto. Then use the paper clip to push done gentle and slightly on the CD while pressing the eject button.
If this does not work, you'll need to take it to a car audio shop to have the remove it, which they will usually do for a tip of $20.
How many cubic feet does this sub take in a vented
for a single one in a sealed box should be looking at 5 Cuft not prted, it varies on the shape of the box, wedge, rectangle, etc and if its ported, 5 cubic feet is generalised in a rectangle box thats sealed, heres a link, it is a little difficult but once you work it out you can calculate the correct cubic feet for any sub in any shpaed box, check it out.

I have a ly1440 amp how can i wire it to my hk15x2
This subwoofer has (2) 2 Ohm voicecoils.
Which means you will only be able to wire a 1 Ohm or 4 Ohm configuration for your amplifier.
The Model # you listed for the amplifier is not a valid one.
If your amplifier is 1 Ohm mono stable...
you wire both (+) Sub to amp (+)
and both (-) on Sub to amp (-)
This is PARALLEL wiring and lets the amplifier SEE a one ohm load
If your amplifier is NOT one ohm mono capable - your only other possibility is a 4 Ohm load.
Wire from (+) on amplifier to one (+) on the sub
Then Wire from (-) on amplifier to the OTHER terminal's (-)
You will have one (+) and one (-) left on the subwoofer - wire them together.
This is SERIES wiring, and nets a 4 ohm load for your amplifier.
There is no other configuration for wiring one Dual 2 ohm sub.

Wiring
Hello jose08042008,
Your sub has dual 2ohm voice coils and can be wired to present a final load to the amplifier of either 1ohm or 4ohms. Unless you have an amp that is stable at 1ohm (not many are), then you will want to use the 4ohm wiring. To wire for 4ohms, jumper the positive terminal of one voice coil to the negative of the other terminal, and connect the remaining positive and negative terminals to your amp. If you know for SURE that your amp is stable at 1ohm, you can connect both positives and both negatives together on the sub and then to the amp. But if the amp 1ohm stable, this will result in overheating, and/or going into "protection" mode, and/or damage to the amp.
Hope this helps.
Need to know how to repair my voicecoils
If you have removable voice coils, you can take them off and buy new ones, otherwise, the speaker is pretty much hosed. Voice coils require too much precision to be made by hand.
Ohm wiring
This depends on the ratings of the Amp. Check the docs for your amp. My Alpine will go as low as 2 ohms. The lower you go, the hotter your amp will get, so be aware of that. I actually had to mount a 12v fan next to mine to keep an air flow going over it. The thermal override was tripping.
Subwoofer cone catching
From past experience this is usually due to the voice coil overheating and then hitting the magnet structure and producing a clicking sound when being played. Basically your speaker is blown.
Some brands of speakers have spare parts such as coils/cones for them to be repaired but probably not many now days.
