Dacor ECS127 Epicure Stainless Steel Electric Single Oven - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning
I also have a Dacor Model PCS130. This solution worked AND saved me from spending $50-$105 for a service technician to come out just to look at the problem.
The high temperature sensor tripped when I kept the door open part way while broiling (never listen to friends who don't have the same oven as yours). Afterwards, I couldn't get the oven to go above the prebake temperature of 135°F using any of the settings (bake, broil, convection bake, etc...).
I called Dacor customer service and they told me about the high temperature sensor but wouldn't say how to reset it. They suggested I call a third party technical service company and gave me their numbers. But, I'm glad I found this site...
All you have to do is open the oven door and you'll see the grille/grate/steel cover plate where the door latch sticks out of. If you look inside, you can see the electronics that operate the door latch as well as the temperature sensor unit a little farther back. You can even see the RED reset button. But, it's a little too far back for you to press it without removing the cover plate.
6 screws is what holds my cover plate in place. Once that's off, you can reach in and press the RED reset button (I pressed it twice just to make sure) and you'll hear it click. Screw the cover plate back in place. Close the oven door and test it out.
It took my oven about 5 minutes to heat up past 135°F so I was unsure if the problem was fixed or not during that time. But, once the oven heated up sufficiently, the temperature began climbing fairly quickly and I was able to breath a sigh of relief. It works!
This is such an easy fix, I don't know why Dacor customer support doesn't just tell us how to do it ourselves instead of paying for a service tech to come out and do the same thing. Even better, maybe they should make the reset button more easily accessible (like on the control panel) if they're concerned about people getting in and messing up the other electrical connections when trying to reset the high temperature switch. Computers are far more technically advanced than your oven and THEY have reset/reboot buttons right in front.

Ge jbs03004 oven
I purchase parts from an appliance parts supply. You could also purchase elements let's say from a Home Depot. You can buy used parts from area used appliance stores. Nowadays you can purchase almost anything on-line.

My dacor microwave convection oven won't turn or heat but but the exhaust, time etc. works.
I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

The light in the oven keeps going on and off, how
Call a repair man. He will swap the control panel, it will cost you $450 and it will still be broken. He will come back and change the circuit board that has the clicking relay. It will cost you $450 and will still be broken.

Faulty oven door
This IS SO EASY !! I have the DACOR 48...no tools, 5 minutes and you are done! It took me 8 years of frustration and I fixed it TODAY !!
Just open the door, latch the small hook that binds the two hinges together. Next try to slowly close the door until resistance. Just when you think you might break something push up another 2 inches. Now lower the door , unhook the latch to seperate the hinges (latches) nad PRESTO a snug fit !!

Dacor oven ECPS127S will not heat after self clean
the problem was fixed by opening the panel between the oven cavity and the touch panel just behinf the door. you can look through the grill but to trip the reset you must unscrew the panel. you will find the reset back behind the wires Looks a red button nestled on top not very open but it should be there> i do have to say i found a step by step description on this site. but right now i can't tell you who exactly he was.

LED FRROZEN
Sounds like you have a need for a circuit board. First, disconnect power for a few minutes and re-power. If that doesn't fix it, get a new board. Turn off power before working on your unit.

Condensation
Should not be a problem. Be aware that these units cook more quickly...and they pull out moisture differently from the food and some of it hits colder parts of the oven...condensation. If all else seems well, you're okay.

Dacor Oven - convection fan stays on while on "bake" setting
Question: does the unit appear to hold the correct temperature? Most convection units only turn the heating elements on and off...not the fan. If the unit is reporting operating temp and then taking other direction...and it is cooking right...you're done.

Oven enamel chipping
The only solution I know of for the enamel coming off on these units is replacement of the unit, and since it is 4 years old you are going to have a tough time getting dacor to replace it or even give you a credit towards a new one. I have never actually seen the problem on a Dacor. Does the unit have a hidden lower bake element? If you cannot seee the elemnt its hidden, and you cannot put tin foil on the floor of any unit wiht a hidden bake element, as it will damage the finish. I know this isnt much help, but I work on Dacor products regularly as we are an authorized servicer, and I can't say I've ever seen a finish problem on one. Best bet at this point is to call Dacor and see if they will do anything about it. Good Luck!
