Problem for Frigidaire FSE748GF Dryer Brown
If the clothes have a 'burned' smell, likely, the air flow through the machine is restricted and getting too hot. Vacuum out the exhaust hose and the outside vent of lint. Reach inside the machine's air outlet pipe and vacuum all that you can reach. Remove the lint filter and wash it in hot water and detergent to remove fabric softener deposits. Vacuum below the lint filter opening as far as you can reach and inside the door cavity (be careful of sharp edges!). Hope this helps!
Dryer do not spin if thermostat is plugged
Ok. The model number pulled up a stack unit and a regular standalone dryer. Im refering to the standalone Dryer.
Your Temp control thermostat is located in the front of the blower housing in the front of the machine, part # 134048800
the thermostat that your jumping is either the thermostat on the heater housing, Part # 3204267
or the Thermal fuse on the back wall,
Part # 134120900
If you have not changed the Thermostat on the blower housting, this is why you have not solved the problem.
Make sure your heater coils are not shorting to ground as well.
Make sure to replace the thermostat that your jumping and the one on the blower wheel. and as always make sure you unplug the machine while you work.
My dryer makes squeaking noise just on the
there are rollers that the drum rides on that could be doing this,or the pulley that the belt attaches to,some dryers have glides on the front bulkhead or like frigidaire the drum rides on a back bearing that wears down, one more thing to check is the blower wheel, next time send brand name and model number, take out the drum and move the rollers and pulley by hand or try rotating the drum by hand to see if you hear the noise, see if it's in the front or back of drum and go from there
The timed dry cycle sometimes does not turn off;
If it continues running beyond the cycle point it probably is no longer producing heat and just tumbling. Eventually there is a heat sensor that is triggered. Mine does the same thing. It is likely the result of the timer going bad, though immediaely not a necessity to fix, in the long haul it will save you utilities.
IGNITOR GLOWS, GAS VALVE OPENS & LIGHTS, SHUTS
good guess,
but i would check the gas valve coils, they sit right on top on the gas valve, they both open to open the gas valve once you have burn one drops out, from your description, it sounds like your hold coil is bad
and will not HOLD the valve open,
although only one may be bad, I would replace both as a pair, since the bad one does pit extra strain on the good one when the valve opens
so there is no telling how good the boost actual is
since it sounds like you have a good idea of what your doing, you can get the parts at appliancepartspros dot com
type in the model number
and look in the gas control section
hope this help
have a great day
Dryer got very hot when shut off, wouldn't heat up when running.
We took apart the dryer. the heating coil was broken in two. When the dryer was stopped it was not in off mode therefore the electricity was going through and the ends off the coil where it was broken was touching the metal and eating the dryer which made it hot to touch. We tested the 3 different fuses? the ohms were good. Ordered the part waiting to put it back together to be sure. Rule to remember even when dryer is stopped it should always be put in off mode.
Dryer won't heat up. I don't have a parts manual.
more than likely the theraml fuse on the back of dryer unplug unit and use a continuity tester to check for ohms. the t-fuse is on the exhaust tube also the squeaks usally comes from the drum rollers use a little silicon grease and lube the roller shaft

You can generally access the unit from the rear panel. Try and lube the joints around the pully for the belt and any other moving parts. Hopefully you won't have to replace any parts. Good luck
Brown marks on clothes
You will need to replace the drum seals. Not too expensive if you do it yourself.
Post your model number and let me know if you need assistance on how to replace them.
Good luck!
