Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Electric Dryer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

You may have a thermal switch defective. This is a switch that reacts when temperature is exceeded. Before you undertake repair do the following steps:This problem may be caused by the dryer air filter that filters the lint excaping the dryer .(1) Remove the dryer air filter, clean the lint from the screen , wash the screen in hot water using dish soap, ( this will remove the Fabric Softner also called Fleecy sheet which deposits an invisible film on the mesh screen that can not be detected so easily) . Once you have done a good cleanig of the air filter screen, reinstall it and operate the dryer....(2).if this has not cured your problem then open the top cover of the dryer (using a kitchen knife to trip the cover clips located at the front ) and you will find the thermal swich located near the top of the door edge. Check it with a meter to check continuity (to check it is closed), if it is opened , replace the thermal switch. Good luck and good repairs.

just remove the door front panel....the replacement felt is self sticking..........fix the felt with the join at the top........... cheers

Hey Andy, thank you for your post! From what you have described your Frigidaire dryer, GLEQ2152ES, is running for a few seconds and then displaying an error code of "PF". The error code of "PF" means there is a power failure and this could be an issue within your control panel or power source. I would suggest performing a reset, this could help clear our any miscommunications within the panel, and you can do this by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. these componets support the front of drum and when felt wears away then clothing slips in gap and when dreyer tumbles clothing gets snagged in gap and tears clothing and leaves black scuffs

Sounds like a board communication problem check and spray connections

Hi,First of all check your door switch, make sure it is operational.If the door switch checks good, the start switch could be faulty, in newer dryers the start switch is built into the timer in older dryers your start switch may be separate, if you have to push on the timer dial to start the dryer, its built into the timer.

Check any other safety's that may be stuck open.Double check anyway. If it wont do anything, I would say its the door switch or the start switch.

U MEAN THERMAL SHUT OFF? OR THERMAL CUT OFF? USUALLY NON RESETTABLE

ARE THE BAFFLES BAD OR BROKEN, CRACKED? THE HUB GASKETS OK? CALLED THE GLIDES?

MAY BE BAD MOTOR WITH BAD WINDINGS USUALLY STOPS AFTER 20 MINUTES OF USE? OR HEATING ELEMENT IS OVERHEATING? DUE TO BAD VENTING? THERMAL CUT OFF KEEPS SHUTTING IT DOWN?

SOUNDS LIKE THE BLOWER ELEMENT IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY DUE TO RESTRICTIONS? CHECK UR VENTING? AND LINT BASKET IF ITS FULL UR INSIDE OF UNIT MAY BE FULL OF LINT ALSO BAD BAD AND BAD CAUSES OVERHEATING AND THEN SHUT DOWN?

may be a bad thermal fuse code?

bad heating element check with multi meter first? check ur thermostats also. lastly may be not getting full 240 at the terminal block

where the green ground was attached to the body it will now be attached to the middle prong? u can use youtube to see how to go from 3 prong to 4 prong if this is confusing
