There is a leak of water in front of the Air
Clean floor of unit under coils so front coil water can drain under the coils to the back drain.
Don't forget to tilt them unit a bit to the back to allow the water to drain towards the back.
If this was helpful please rate me.

It freezes
It needs cleaning ,if it is a window unit, remove it from the window, from it`s shell, and take it out side and wash it out,be careful not to bend over the fins on the evaporator, and the condenser with the water hose.If this does not help, then it needs some freon.

FAC084N7A1 fan motor makes loud grinding sound
It's obvious to me that your motor 'quit' turning because of a lack of lubrication.
You have one 'slight' chance here - and that depends on whether or not you are able to take a drill and 'drill' a small hole on top of the bearing case (which encases the bearing).
On most motors you can do this quite easily. Just look on the end of the motor (where the shaft comes out of the motor) and you should see the bearing encasement (on some motors this is internal and you won't be able to do this). - but in any case if you can - 'just drill a small hole at the top of the encasement and then take a oil bottle, one of those plastic ones with the long slender tube - and oil the motor. I've done this many times in the past and more times than not your fan motor will run normally for quite some time.
Note: you must understand though - that the damage already done to the motor 'might' cause this manuver to be un-sucessful, i.e. the motor may run and not make noise but will heat up and go off - or it may still make the grinding noise and also heat up and go off.
But, you do have a chance this way.
If this doesn't work - the only thing to do is to replace the motor.
Note: I've never took one of these motors apart and tried to oil the bearings as you suggested - mainly because the chance of success - versus the "time and trouble" to do so is very slim.
good luck!

Frigidaire fac084n7a1 cooling system troubleshooting
There are a few checks that could be done, i.e. you could 'ohm the compressor out' to see if it had a 'short, or its windings are 'opened.'
Or - if there was a valve on the AC - you could tell if the system was holding it's refrigerant or not - you could also visually examine both coils to see if they were 'clean.'
But to 'make sure' the AC is operating 'correctly' will require all the components to be working - including the fan motor.

My frigidaire window AC is not cooling anymore
Does it get cold? You can try cleaning the fins-both inside and outside, with windex. Smoling & cooking will create a sticky deposit that will make dist that gets through the filter stick and it won't cool properly.
If it doesn.t get cold any more, try replacing the starting capacitor. About $5. If that doesn't take care of it, just replace the unit. They are cheap enough these days, that you can replace a unit with a more energy efficient unit for the same cost or less as a repair would cost.

Window ac/heater freezes up when using the heater?
This is likely due to a lack of airflow. Make sure that the air filter is clean and that there are no obstructions blocking the air intake or exhaust vents. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to have a technician come out and inspect the unit for any other potential issues.
