Frigidaire FAA065M7A Air Conditioner - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The timer light on my frigidaire split unit is onand the unit will not start up?
Good Morning Friend,
I understand that the timer light is showing on your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAA065M7A, and your appliance will not start. Please press the "hours" button under the timer display. This should stop the timer from showing. If this does not help, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

Home aircon problem compresor turn on after 10 minute turn off never turn on again the relay is good any solution
Hi Junior Flora, this is AP! Thank you for your post.
I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire air conditioner compressor not coming back on after it cuts off. There could unfortunately be several culprits causing this to happen. I would recommend unplugging the appliance and letting it heat up to room temperature and try using the air conditioner again. However, if that approach does not prove to be useful you may have a problem with the sealed system, a coil could have frozen over, or the inside of the air conditioner could be getting to cold to operate. I hope this information proves helpful for you.

Clean Filter
Good Afternoon Kate - Thank you for your question! Some air conditioner filters are removed by sliding out from the right-hand side. Others, you need to push the vent handle to the Vent Closed position and open the front panel. Grasp the filter by center and pull up and out the filter can be wash using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse filter thoroughly. Gently shake excess water from the filter. Be sure filter is thoroughly dry before replacing. Keep in mind that instead of washing you may vacuum the filter clean as well. Hope this helps!

Unit does not blow cold
The rear coil is probably stopped up with dirt causing the valves in the compressor to release. You will have to take the casing off of the unit to clean it properly. Some times, if its not too bad, you can wash it out from the back side of the unit. If you try this you will have to unplug the unit, take a water hose with a sprayer and spray carefully through the back coil. You have the chance of getting the motor wet, so will need to let it dry out a couple of hours after you do this.
The best way is it take the case off. It will have a few screws in it. If it has "wings" on it to make it fit in the window, you will have to take the wings off in order to get the case off. Take the unit out on the driveway, look through the rear fan blade to see the inside of the rear coil. You will probably see dirt caked on to the coil. The coil has a few screws holding it to the fan shroud. Take these screws out. Notice the coil will have two copper lines going into one side. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT to break these lines. After you get the screws out from the shroud the coil will ever so gently be lifted from the unit, copper lines still connected. Just pull the coil out enough to get behind it to clean it out. Put it back together. If should work now. Only other problem it could be would be the compressor valves. If this is the case, unless it is still in warranty, it will not be worth fixing.

The unit ices up after an hour or so and then
Two issues are possible.
First of all check for dirt accumulation that is blocking the water to drip but is diverting to the front panel section to flow into the wall.
Secondly the A/C must be mounted with a slight tilt thereby making the water condensation to flow/drop into the tray. If not you can remove and make a small wedge on the mounting to tilt.
Also use a good air jet or a water jet( if taken out) to clean the coils.

Frigidaire air conditioner where is the filter
Behind the front grille. If there is none there, someone removed it and disposed of it. Go to your local hardware store or your Favorite Big Box lunmber yard and get a replacement. Replacements are universal and ususally need to be trimmed to fit.

It seems to work sometimes then mysteriously the
Find the thermostat probe,it will most likely be up,against the evaporator in the front behind the filter.Remove it from the evaporator, and pull it away from the evaporator, this will make it stay on longer and get to the right temp before it cycles the ac compressor off,if it does not replace the thermostat. If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Air Cond. Freezeup problem
Sounds like one of two things either you have an airflow problem or low on charge. have you cleaned the filter? Cleaned the outside condeser coil? The evapartor coil? Is the inside fan blowing air out? to clean the outside condenser coil take a stiff hair brush and go up and down on the coil not sideways. Then use a water hose to clean out the dirt and etc. next take the brush and clean the inside oil go up and down not sideways because you will bend the fins on the coil. I would use a squrite bottle to rinse it with. I hope this helps!!!

Frigidaire 12000 BTU A/C window unit
The reason that it's doing that is b/c at first its running only with the fan butwhen the compressor clicks on it trips the breaker if you have other items running off that circuit "unplug them" [even turned off items can still consume some power]. Then try to running only the ac unit see if it works a 12000btu takes a lot to run, if this doesn't work the ac may be to much for your circuit to handle and a smaller unit may be needed.
