If it is an App store software update the combined updates can be broken down into their parts by clicking the 'more' at the end of the description; then you can choose updates separately. If you want to be selective with software updates make sure to turn off automatic updates in system preferences/App store. You need to rephrase your question. It's not clear what you are trying to do. Are you trying to watch a movie?. Or install a program or ?. Firefox is a web browser - I don't understand what you mean by "install a DVD for watching"... and why you would use Firefox to do this.
