We would be happy to help you with that. The first thing wewant to check is if the issue is affecting multiple buttons on the remote. Ifyou are having the issue with specific buttons then the remote needs to bereplaced, give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474). Check if you are using thecorrect remote for the correct room, there may be a number on the bottom of theremote that tells you which room the remote should be in. If UHF, check thatyour UHF remote antenna is securely connected to the "RemoteAntenna" port on the back of your receiver and that the antenna isupright. At this point we want to re-address your remote, if issue is with theTV2 remote, bring your TV2 remote with you to TV1. Access "SystemInfo" at TV1. Using the remote that is NOT functioning, pressand release the "SAT" button then press and release the RECORDbutton on remote control. If the batteries in the remote have not beenreplaced in the past 60 days, replace the batteries. Reset the receiver byunplugging it for 10 seconds then plug it back in then re-address the remoteagain. If the remote is still not working at this point then it may be aninterference issue. If you are having issues with an infrared remote, findinterference source (backlighting or power save mode on LCD TV's, fluorescentlighting in room, or direct sunlight), eliminate, or convert remote to UHF. Ifyou are having issues with an UHF remote, find interference source (component(VCR, DVD Player, etc.) near DISH receiver), adjust UHF antenna, or distanceUHF antenna from receiver using coax cable/barrel connector. If the remote isstill not working after all these steps we need to have your remote replaced.

We really hope all these steps resolve your remote issue. Thank you for being avalued DISH Network customer!

Hello this is Dan Busa with DISH Network. I'm not quite sure if this is the answer you need, the way you need this set is you want the IR blaster pointing directly at the IR sensor on your receiver (the three holes by the power light) the actual extender just needs within close range of your remote.

When you unplugged it, did you leave it unplugged for 10 full long seconds and press any button for that 10 full seconds as well, then wait a few more before plugging it back in? That is the correct procedure. If that still doesn't work, then either the firmware needs to be updated, or there is a faulty IC chip in the device that will need to be replaced.

Not a stupid question. You should have received all the cables you need with the Leap Frog. To hook up your tv, take your transmitter and one set of a/v cables, usually red, white and yellow. Do one cable at a time. Your tv outputs should be color coded. You should have one set of three jacks completly open on the back or side of your tv, i.e. labeled component 1, component 2, aux 1, etc. First plug select one set of jacks. Plug a yellow plug into the yellow jack on your tv labeled video out. Plug the white plug into the white jack labeled audio L out. Plug the red plug into the red jack labeled audio R out. Now do the same on the transmitter but the jacks should say in. Yellow, white and red to video, audio L and audio R. Now take your receiver into the other room and do the same thing with the other tv. The cables go from the receiver out jacks to one set of jacks labeled Aux, component, etc like before. Pick a set that has all three open. Red to red, white to white, yellow to yellow. Make sure you then have the transmitter and receiver plugged in. Your remote is supposed to work from your other room. If this solved your problem please rate this as fixed. If you need more help with this just add a comment and I'll be glad to help you. Thanks.

Your Terk antenna has a round F connector for 75 ohm coax cable. Unless your receiver is really old, it has an F connector for the antennaas well

The power supply board is going to be inside, the easiest way is to just follow the power, from where you plug the power cord in to the first board that gets the incoming AC power, thats the power supply. If the red light comes on thats the standby power, so at least the 3.3v or 5v rail is working, depending on the model it could be one of the two, but the other voltages might not be available when you try and turn it on, bad capacitors is the most likely culprit on the power supply board. The only way to know for sure is check all the voltages, most tv power supply boards will have at least one connector with the voltages that each pin should have labeled on the board, but i have seen some that don't. I usually just look for bulged capacitors, replace those, and check voltages. If that doesn't fix it then it might not be worth fixing, replacement boards will add up fast, and TV's are so cheap now its hardly worth dumping a hundred bucks into repairing one.
