Equator EZ 3720 CEE Questions & Answers
The water doesn't go out
HI, check the following to address this issue.
1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).
2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line
NOTE-If the hoses and pump check out ok, this will confirm that there is a serious within the actual control sector(Timer module or control board). It should be replaced i this case.
Machine not drying
Check for a build up of lint in the exhaust duct, an excessive build up will block air flow.
Also 220VAC electric dryers use different legs of the electrical supply. (two 110VAC legs tied via a common neutral make 220 VAC) One 110VAC leg runs the motor and controls while the other supplies power to the heater.
It is possible that one side of the 220VAC has a blown fuse and is not supplying power to the heater element.
Other possibilities:
Blown out heater - requires replacement
There is a safety switch attached to the shaft of the motor. THis switch relys on centrifical force to close and is intened to kill the power to the heater if the motor and its attached blower stop turning.
If the motor is not turning fast enough of the switch is worn then it is possible that power to the heater circuit is not being completed. It doesn't take must of a speed reduction to cause a problem. Lint build up on the drum bearings can cause enough drag to slow the drum slightly. Combined with a worn/dirty switch and the switch fails to operate.
Finally there is a blower attached to the motor shaft. The blower is made of plastic and somtimes the blower comes loose on the shaft. Usually you hear a rattling sound or sounds after the dryer drum stops as the loose spinning blower spins to a stop. ( A tight blower stops with the dryer drum) A loose blower doesn't move enough air and causes your dryer to run longer.
Just used the Equator EZ 3720 for the first time.
Normally, the machine should be placed on a stable levelled surface, placing it on a dolly and running it for a few minutes should not make a huge impact on the machine, however there is a possibility that some parts in the machine may go bad due to the vibrations caused, it can only be understood if the machine when run on a stable surface works fine or not.
Also, do confirm that the shipping bolts were removed from the machine during the installation.
