Janome Sewist 625e Questions & Answers
Where do I oil my machine sewist 625e
Look on machine for little red dots with a small hole nearby. Usually these are near the threading points and also on the foot near or on the metal flap. Also they may be under the flap near the bobbin. Make sure you wipe the excess oil off before using.
Thread a twin needle
The same as a regular needle a twin goes in the same. it has only one stem
notice above the read is on stem this goes into the same area as a regular needle.

When I try to sew
Hello
My first guess is the needle is in backwards; my second is that you're not hanging on to the end of the top thread as you're lowering the needle.
lift the presser foot and pull about 7" of thread through the needle.
Drop-in bobbins collect a lot of lint in the bobbin case and need frequent cleaning. The bobbin thread can sometimes pull out of the guide on the side of the bobbin case.
Last resort - the timing needs to be re-set and this means a trip to the shop.
It is very unlikely a tension problem.
Does a Brother walking (quilting)
More than likely. You mount the walking in place of the regular foot. You just have to attach the fork over the needle clamp screw at the same time.
Can't find my manual for
Hi
I looked on the Janome site and couldn't find a manual for this model, even in their retired machines section!
Looking at the picture above, I think your machine is most like the 521. Here's a link to a partial manual for the 521 from the Janome site.
http://www.janome.com/documents/File/ManualFile/Sewist521.pdf
If it is not similar enough to your machine, go to the Janome homepage at
www.janome.com and use the drop down menu marked
machines. Browse through the various categories of machine until you come to one that most resembles your machine. Click on the link for that machine and then click on
specifiaction and you should see a
pdf icon and a
download manual button to download a manual for your chosen machine. Hope this helps!
I have a Janome that
Hi. It may be that you need to adjust the tension. Put a different color thread on top than is in the bobbin and sew a couple of inches, then check. I suspect you'll find that the top thread is the one that is loose and knotting up. (It's hard to tell unless you're using two different color threads.) If that's the case, your upper tension needs to be tighter. Tighten it just a bit, then sew a few more inches and check again. Repeat until you don't see any of the top thread on the bottom (or maybe just a little bit) or the bobbin thread on the top (or maybe just a little bit.).
Hope this helps!

Most probably when you changed the needle you did not put the new one well in place ...if you left it too far out ..or if it was too long ...it jammed inside and broke ...So change it again ...open inside where the bobbin goes ...be sure you clean all ..well not to have any needle leftovers..put another needle in place ...be sure you follow the instructions well ..and you do not put it in the wrong position or leave it too long (insert it all the way up and screw it in place well) and when you try again ...just gently roll it manually a few times before try to sew ...
How do I thread it? I have no manuel
google search and put in "manual for (sewing machine #)" and you will get to download manual. It will take you to several websites that have the manual to download. I did it for mine. I have done it for several other things like cameras, etc.
