Singer 132QRFB Mechanical Sewing Machine - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Singer 3116 stitch pattern selector dial not
If your Singer 3116 stitch pattern selector dial is not working, it could be due to a few different issues. Here are some common causes and potential solutions:
- Dial not fully engaged: Make sure the dial is fully turned to the right until it stops. If it is not fully engaged, the machine will not stitch correctly.
- Broken stitch dial: If the dial is physically broken or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
- Loose connection: If the dial is not securely connected to the machine, it may need to be tightened or reattached.
- Dirt or debris: Sometimes, dirt or debris can build up and interfere with the functioning of the dial. Clean the dial and surrounding area with a soft cloth and see if this resolves the issue.
If these solutions do not resolve the issue, it may be best to take the machine to a professional for repair or seek the advice of Singer customer support.
I have an old Singer Memo-Matic 360/260 Knitting
yes a sping must have come off tip it upside down and move the tuck slip etc lever and see that they move, you will see the course that the needles should take, take a close look and see which part of the cams move underneathe try both sides and you will find that one wont match up maybe a pring has popped off or broke good luck. oh also check the side guiders that feed the needles into the carriage, maybe one has been knocked or dented..
What kind of thread do I use in a Model 03914
You can use any type of thread but, you must have the correct size
needle for the thread . Be sure to use quality accessories too.
this will help keep dust and fibers forming ,keep this machine cleaned, maintained.

Lean the machine at an angle so it will not fall out...Hook will only fit one way, then ring with "bull horns" that go to the top rear, then lugs hold it on then insert bobbin case.
Singer Athena automatic needle threader does not work.
Check on the threader and see if the part that goes through the eye of the needle is bent. This is a very common problem. The threaders are becoming more and more difficult to replace. If the piece is bent, you can usually use a pair of tweezers to straighten it out.
I have a singer machine model no 4830C, can u
If you can't get the hank of using that buttonhole foot and attachment, go to your stitch length dail turn dail to red #1
this will make the right side of your buttonhole(the length)
If you move the dail following number sequin 2-4 this will
give you beautiful buttonhole without using that attachment.
Remember that you don't move your fabric let the machine do its
job, just check to make sure that it is lined up . Practice very easy.
I use this machine for anything I sew. Love it.
The machine runs constantly when
My machine is acting quirky too. I have a Singer Professional 2010 and it just started jumping from side to side when in straight stitch, also it won't turn off when I take the foot off the pedal. I don't know what the problem is. I have a whole pile of stuff to finish for Christmas and now I'm in a real bind!
Thread catching and bunching up in bobbin latch while sewing
I had the same problem where the thread was getting all bunched up on the underside. I took everything out and followed the manual concerning threading, then manually moved my right wheel to see if it would get bunched up. It took awhile, but I finally got it sew correctly again. I;m still not sure what was wrong with it. I have a singer 7470.

Now that the needle catches
I had the same problem and ended up taking the machine to a small repair shop. there is a critical timing isue between the top cam and the bobbin, the man did a 5 minute repair and it has worked great eversince. It is a little tricky to setup so I would not try to do it myself.

Check to see if you have a burr in the needle hole of the throat plate. Take off the throat plate and use some fine sand paper with a toothpick and push it through and around it, while your throat plate is off, clean out that area where the feed dogs are with a toothbrush because normal cleaning does not do the job. Also make sure that your tension is set right, plus new needle, and NO old thread. I was stunned to find when I bought some thread on sale to find it was old stock and always broke on me, now I use it for hand basting, Now I know why is was so cheap. I hope that my suggestions help you,
