Getting Error 1
Download a free manual at brother-usa.com, more than likely you pressed the reinforcement stitch button before the presser foot was raised.
What is E3code that is
You have selected the buttonhole stitch, if you don't have your manual go to brother-usa.com and download one for free.
Error code 6 (thread in motor but there is none)
If you can turn the balance wheel by hand and the needle goes up and down it may be loose belts, if you can't turn the balance wheel by hand then there is definitely thread stuck somewhere in the raceway
How do I oil the cs6000i
This machine is not easy to lubricate, the covers have to be removed to get to the bearings. However, normally the user does not lubricate it but you do need to remove the needle plate to keep the lint from building up in the bobbin area.
How do I fix thumping/clunking sound?
make sure your needle is facing the right way, some needles if you look at the front and back you will see a groove side and a flat side sometimes it is hard to tell the difference depending on needle style.. hold it up to light and look at it from the side the difference will be slight but you will see a difference groove should face the back or if your presser foot is out of wack (lol so technical terminology) it could cause needle breaks and noise you can detect damage to the presser foot if this is happening.... only other thing i can suggest is to make sure bobbin is securely snapped into the housing if not it can cause problems with the needle picking up the bobbin
Top stitche is to tight and bottom stitche is to loose
Meaning you have adjusted the tension for the top thread as well as the bobbin?
Use two distinct colors of thread - one for the top and one for the bottom.
Thread the machine with the presser foot up.
The two threads should meet in the middle of the stitch with neither obvious on the opposite side of the seam.
Set the top thread tension to 4 and adjust the bobbin as needed.
My bobbin thread is not drawing up on my brother
If the thread is being trapped in the bobbin area, yes, it could be the bobbin case. If the thread goes around the bobbin case and come back up then it is probably out of time and needs to be sent to a repair shop.
