Timing is messed up, needle keeps breaking
Kim, there is nothing you can do yourself if the timing is out. But you can check it.- Remove the needle plate and insert a brand new needle.- Turn on the machine and put it into straight stitch in the center needle position.- Turn the hand-wheel forwards until the needle is bottom dead center.- Turn the hand-wheel forwards until the needle raises 2.2mm from bottom dead center.- The Hook on the shuttle should now be directly behind the needle.- If the hook is past, or not yet to the needle, the shuttle is out of time.

check your needle. Make sure it is the correct size, is fully inserted into the needle bar and is correctly oriented. Also make sure it's not bend or otherwise damaged. Other than that you'll need to check the timing.
Brother CS6000i feed dogs issue :(.
sounds like something may have broke or come loose,, I'd take the machine to someone else to have it checked to see what the poping sound was

Bobbin winder belt melted
Mine stopped working too. Gave up and wound bobbins by hand for a while
until I broke down and took the machine apart -- an ordeal to figure
out. I found that a pliable ring on the winder was completely
disintegrated (gummy plastic-like stuff). An online search found this --
a bobbin "tire" which I THINK is the part I need:
