Reset your router back to the default factory settings.
This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password "admin", in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to "admin" on some of the newer Linksys router models). Hi. There are no fuse for routers. Check and investigate first with the power adapter. If you have a voltmeter try to test if you are getting the correct voltage. You may use another adapter with the same voltage as part of the test.

Did you connect a LAN cable from your computer to the wireless router?
This needs to be done to configure the wireless router, and the LAN cable can be removed after configuring the wireless router.
My wrt600n start playing with my speed it change
A couple of suggestions.
First, check your signal strength. The further you are away from your wireless router, the less signal strength you have. The router compensates for this by operating at a lesser bandwidth.
Next, make sure you don't have something interfering with the wireless signal. Microwaves and cordless phones are two major culprits for messing with the 2.4Ghz signal on a "G" router.
Last, check for the latest firmware from Linksys' website. Sometimes there are buggy things that just need to have a firmware upgrade to fix. Consult your product manual or the Linksys tech support site for firmware upgrade instructions.
How Do I Make the Linksys WRT160n Wireless-N Only
Hello,
Sit at your computer and open up IE browser. After this has opened up, go up to the url bar and erase anything there and when this is blank, type in
http://192.168.1.1
then hit the enter key. The router should now pop up a login menu close to the middle of your monitor. The default password for Linksys routers is ADMIN leave the user name blank and just enter the password ADMIN
This then will open up the routers main menus and at the top of the tabs look for the tab named "wireless" click on this tab and look this menu over and you should find the box to check or uncheck to accomplish what you want done. Good luck. By the way, while your in the routers menu "Change the Default Password" to something that you have to write down! leaving the password set the the factory default is a huge mistake. Like leaving all your windows and doors open going on a long vacation! Got it?

Linksys WRT300N router flashing all lights
On the back of the router you will see what looks like a pin hole, turn the router on and use a paperclip to push into the hole(it's a reset button) and keep it pushed in till the router cycles off then on again, it resets the router to default. Hope this helps.
How do I find network key for wrt120n router
Every router I have ever seen allows you to reset the configuration to factory default - but not allow you to retrieve a forgotten password and maintain your settings at the same time. This is often referred to a "factory" or "hard" reset.
When you initiate a factory / hard reset, typically by pressing & holding a button on the router - or behind an opening in the router case - all the changes you've made to it will be returned to the factory default. Wifi becomes "open" with no password (on most devices), the login username / password also go back to default settings (common ones are: admin / admin, admin / password, <blank> / admin, <blank / password, etc.). Consult your router's set up guide or online documentation to learn what the factory / hard reset procedure and the default settings.
Once you gain access to the setup pages of the router, configure it as best as you can remember, and lock it down with good security settings. At minimum - this should include changing the router's username / password, the WiFi's SSID and do not broadcast it, add WPA or WPA2 encryption and secure it with a security or network key (use a mix of numbers, letters, symbols etc.).
I suggest recording all these settings on paper and then tape it to the bottom of the router. There it will remain out of sight - but ready when you need it.
Good luck!
