The green wire is a safety ground and will attach to the body of your freezer somewhere not far from the thermostat. It really does not matter where it attaches as long as it is a clean piece of metal. Here is a link to a wiring diagram but it is not showing the green wire. possibly thermal overload located @ compressor wiring... this is normally due lack of refrigerant back to the compressor from low refrigerant or restricted metering device.

defrost fully once a year or more if you notice it frosting up.it should run at minus 18c to 20 c for best results. 0f is fine.gurgling noise is normal (liquid turning to gas before compressor turns it back to liquid).make sure door seals all round and the kids close the door asap after use......also if you portion up food prior to freezing and vacpack it it will last longer.and be easier to store/rotate.

these units should have a self defrost cycle.
or they can be defrosted by turning the off and remove the plugs in the bottom of the unit so the water can be let out.open the lid you can also use a blow dryer to speed up the process.

Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed

home refrigeration units are not designed to work in low temperature areas. where temps will drop below 45f so that is your problem. this is listed in your owners manual if you want to verify. thx peyton

The error code -H9 on a Frigidaire upright freezer typically indicates a communication error between the control board and the display board. Many reasons why it may be loosing temperature. Such as Defrost problem, fan not running, sealed system problem, compressor problem

Within your Frigidaire freezer the error code "FF" stands for freezer failure. I would perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by either unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker. Once the freezer has come back on you should be able to push the "Down" button three times to start it back up.

It is under the temperature is has been set to. It should stabilise in about 4 hours..
