I keep getting puddles of

First the freezer section gets cold. After freezer side gets properly cold to its set temperature, then defrost cycle starts. In defrost cycle the ice freezed in the freezer section melts, the fan in the freezer section starts and cool air from freezer section goes to fridge section. The cool air from freezer to fridge passes from a section, its called damper.---------- The ice frozen in the freezer section melts in defrost cycle and ice melting water runs from drain line in the freezer section to condenser section pan.------------ But if the freezer section gets over freezed then the water draining line gets clogged and melting ice water will leak towards bottom instead of going to drain line.---------- Or the other possibility for water puddles and collecting at the bottom is crack in the ice maker water passing line. The water passing tube runs from water valve to ice maker. If this tube i cracked in between then water will leak from this line.--------- So first try turning off the water supply to ice maker and turn ice maker off and see if still the water puddles are getting collected at the bottom. If not, then problem is water leak from ice maker side water running line.--------- But with water to the ice maker off and still the water leaks in the bottom, then its drain getting clogged problem.----------- Try manual defrost, The manual defrost reset procedure is as follows : ---- First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. Then check----------------------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

My 13 y ear old Lieherr in France has Snowy Frost

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Since you have quoted that you have already vacuumed the condenser unit from the back and had already removed all dust & lint from the condenser unit so that possibility should be ruled out. The Poor cooling that you are facing could also be (In fact the most common reason) due to the result of a heavy frost build-up on the evaporator coils. You can't see these coils without removing/opening the panel on the inside of your freezer. A sure sign that there is a build-up is the presence of any frost or ice build-up on the inside walls, floor, or ceiling of the freezer that is exactly the thing you quoted. Such a frost build-up usually shows a problem in the self-defrosting system or damaged door gaskets. The refrigerator is supposed/designed to self-defrost approximately four times in every 24 hour period. If one of the components in the self-defrosting system fails, the refrigerator continues to try to cool. Eventually, though, so much frost builds up on the evaporator coils that the circulating fan can't draw air over the coils. There may still be a small amount of cooling because the coils are icy, but with no air flow over the coils, cooling in the refrigerator compartment is quite limited. Here's an inexpensive, though inconvenient, way to determine if the problem is with the self-defrosting system. Remove all of the perishable food from the refrigerator and freezer, turn the thermostat in the refrigerator to Off, and leave the doors open for 24 to 48 hours. (Be sure to have several towels ready in case the melting frost and ice causes the drip pan to overflow). This allows the refrigerator to defrost "manually." When the frost and ice build-up has completely melted away, turn the thermostat back to a normal setting. If the refrigerator then cools properly, it indicates a problem with one of three components in the self-defrosting system: The defrost timer The defrost thermostat (usually a bi-metallic switch) The defrost heater If it still does not cool properly, there may be a problem with the refrigerant level or the compressor. If the problem still persists and the above quoted techniques/tips didn't work,You may need a qualified appliance repair technician to further diagnose the problem.

Best of Luck,

Please do Rate the solution, if you feel that this helps you,

Water is pooling under the veggie bins- watere

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Ice maker not working and freezer temp only -4

it seems tht the problem is with the compressor of the refrigerator.
sometimes it happens that the "gas" in the compressor leakes off and ,tht gas is responsibale for the colling of the refrigerator.
so,either you can go for refilling of gas
or u can buy new compresssor of same rating as refregerator have.
my personla recommendation is to go for new compressor bcoz most of the time it happened to me that the customes complain abt the temperatures and some complain abt the leakage od gas again.
so,best option is to go for new compressor.
in case u hav any problem furthur just write me on my email [email protected]

The dial in the Fridge has settings from 0-7.

The higher the number the colder it gets. But I think your problem might be something like dirty coils under the frig or the fan inside the freezer is not working. Let me know more info. ken
