How do you change the printer status?

right click on the printer icon do a remove and reinstall drivers

My C6280 printer initially said that the light cyan cartridge needed replacing. I replaced it but now it says a cartridge appears to be missing or damaged. I went through all the wiping/trouble sho

I can't tell you how much I hate the ink jet printers,. Was stuck with one for too long,. now it's a brother laser, that is my recommendation,. although practically speaking you got to get this thing up and going again,... You can try the remove and replace and recheck again to be certain it is in there correctly... yes, try all of them. Hopefully you bought the ink in a set. if so, try replacing all the other the other cartridges and see if this gets it going,. I know they are expensive, but most of these machines get funky when one color runs out...PS> one other thing, try unplugging the unit and let it sit for at least a few minutes and try again..Best regards,Ck

HP Photosmart C6280 not visible as printeroption though installed

this will usually happen if you're disconnecting the USB cable from the computer and putting it back on a different USB ports. try to connect it to where it was working before. this is also true for other USB devices such as scanners and webcams

Out of paper tray has paper

remove the use a flash light to look at the lever that senses that the paper is in the tray. That probably means that the plastic lever that senses the paper. It might be stuck, off its lever.If that is not it, then maybe you have a sensor or motherboard issue. Make sure the entire paper tray is pushed in or it will act that way. There are like 3 sensors that have to be activated in order to think it has paper.E

Ink System Failure on a HP Photosmart C6280 All-in One

This is likely a cartridge problem except if the carriage is not moving at all. If you still have some of the used cartridges you can used them to trouble shoot by elimination ok. Or contact a nearby technician who has the cartriges to use them for trouble shooting. I strongly believe the one of the print carts is the culprit. Good luck

My HP 6280 will not

Check corner marking for placing the document, place the document & scan through system, verify whether you got full scanned image? if not adjust the placement in correct position, once its OK, go for print there select correct image size(could be 100%) & paper size..I hope it will solve the issue..Best of luck

Most likely you had some data corruption in the files that handle this feature and so when you try to reinstall it the files are not getting properly replaced.

So what you need to do is fully uninstall all the software from the system. Then next browse to the install folder where the software was installed on your computer and delete the whole folder.

After you do this reinstall the software and drivers. If you still have trouble you may have an issue with Windows its self.

HP Photosmart C6280 Will not feed paper correctly

Please onsult this HP support article and follow the steps outlined there to clean the rollers, etc. Frequently this roller cleaning and possibly a reset is all that's required to clear the jam error. (If you have access to compressed air, you can gently blow air throught the printer to clear out paper dust and debris from inside.
Also be sure to follow the instructions in the manual or here to load the paper correctly, fan sheets before loading, and if the problem continues, try flipping the stack of loaded paper upside down and reloading, or try another kind of paper..

My HP Photosmart C6280 asks

Follow the below steps on the front panel of the All-in-One printer:
A. - Press and Hold the "Print Photos" & "Red Eye Removal" buttons. Release both buttons.

Display should say "Enter Special Key Combo"
B. - Press and release in sequence "Red Eye Removal", "Print Photos", "Red Eye Removal"
(try both and see which one will get you to system config menu )

display says "enter special key combo"

1. Press and release in sequence "Red Eye Removal", "Print Photos", "Red Eye Removal"
2. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says "System Configuration
Menu".
3. Press and release the "OK" button.
4. Display should say "Hardware failure status". If not there already, Arrow Key over to
"Hardware failure status
5. Press and release the "OK" button
6. Display should say "Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear".
7. Press and release the "OK" Button. Message changes to "Hardware failure status Cleared.
Press Cancel to continue".
8. Press and release the "CANCEL" button as many times as necessary, so that, either the
"Welcome to Photosmart Express" screen appears, or, the "Ink System Failure" screen appears.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
9. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the
printer and wall outlet.
it is now powered down and unplugged.
10. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the
wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
11. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message "USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER" followed by "PRESS OK TO CONTINUE". Press OK.
12. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer
will start the "ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS". Allow this process to complete and do
not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
13. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE.

Oxc19a0023 ink system failure. Called HP Tech,

Hello,

The "ink system failure" is caused by air in the ink nozzles. The clear the error you need to do a full purge of the system and the above procedure with do it.

How do I scan to

Hey morten. You cannot scan to a PDF file as scans are automatically made into images. You CAN however create a new PDF file using Adobe Acrobat and putting the image on it then saving.

Hi, According to your problem first clean the head. Check the roller on which the cartridge moved. Because the sound may come from it. check the power cable or replace it. To open the cover see at the back side of the printer. there will be screw, untighten the screws. You can take help form manual.
