Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From what you have described you are having a problem with your Frigidaire freezer not shutting off and you feel it may be due to a defrost timer. This issue you are seeing could be a problem with your timer or thermostat. You might want to perform a reset on your freezer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord from it for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help resolve your issue you might want to have a professional technician out to perform a diagnosis and repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
Thank you for your post, Cynthia!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is not cooling properly and is now displaying the temperature of 56. It sounds like your freezer is not on, even though it has power the compressor is not turned on. I would suggest pressing either the down or up arrow three times within five seconds. That should power on your compressor and it should start cooling properly. I hope this is helpful and if you should need further assistance please feel free to reconnect. -Matt
Thank you for your post, friend!
I see you would like to know the cubic footage of your Frigidaire freezer. Based off the model number you have provided it appears that you have a 21 cubic foot freezer. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt
Good Afternoon edgar corro, thanks for your post! Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is displaying an error code "E8". An "E8" error code typically stands for a shorted thermistor this could be a possible miscommunication with the wiring harness, control board, or thermistor. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would suggest contacting a professional technician since they have the appropriate tools to pinpoint the parts needed for repair. Best of luck! -Matt
I appreciate your inquiry, stephen couch!
From the information you have provided the lights on and inside of your freezer are off and your compressor is running. This sounds like a possible short within your control panel or wiring issue. I see you have performed a reset on your freezer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Typically, to perform a factory reset we would suggest unplugging your freezer for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help I would suggest having a professional come out and perform an accurate diagnosis. This will help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt
