Philips CD4451S/05 Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I believe some one has rang you, to get rid of that you use the button with the up and down arrow in middle of phone. push that button up to call list then press the -button to the left then it should came up who called if more than one person , scroll the arrow buttons until the light stops, then that's who rang.

i still have flashing red light and the message now reads phillips

how do i get this message
what number do i use to set up voice mail since i do not subscribe to voice mail? When i activate voice mail i get the operator

Hi the handset for the telephone (philips) is blinking red and the screen indicates to new calls and i ereased all messages and still blinking with a new calls .any one can help me plz? thank you so much

If it's anything like my phone, there should be a musical note on symbol on the pound key. If you hold down pound than it should toggle the ringer on and off.

do they have teh same and only one charger?if that so,it has the 99 % charger failure.But also considered that even all of them are not charging,the problem might be also in the bateries and they are all very weak.

the wire of the ring tune is disconnected if you have shouldering iron and lead connect it look for the wires and connect .

The red blinking light is an 'event' light, it does not necessarily mean a message is waiting for you, it will also start to flash if you have a missed call.
click 'up' on the round button to show the missed calls list and it will stop flashing, at least it does on mine!

You must either pick up the receiver or let it ring. Pressing "Mute" only hides yous voice from the other person.

Could be line cord connection at base or other wiring issue. Do you have a different phone(s) at same location that work? If you have a known good phone, the simpler the better, unplug all other tele devices at your location and verify the know good phone works?

You need to dry it out completely. A few centrifugal swings around your shoulder might remove much of the water. Then try one of these drying methods: Place it on a register or AC vent for a day or so might be the best way to get it dry. Afterwards, (if trying to operate it didn't short out a component,) it might work again.

With what kind of batteries you've renewed? Are they rechargeable?

Generally the connectors are not interchangable, BUT make sure that the batteries are the same model. Also, they might be CHEAP knock offs that are faulty.

Reinitializing the base and then relinking the base to each handset may be necessary. You may have done these procedures when you first setup the phones. If the owners manual does not cover this procedure, you can try Philips technical support.

It should say on the bottom of the base unit. I would expect 5-6 volt 500ma. That would be the size that would charge those batteries.
