My trackball doesn't move down

Chances are it's just clogged with dirt

Ok. Follow this carefully cause more people break and destroy their trackballs by not following directions step by step

Carefully pry the grommet (ring around the trackball) off and set it aside. If you look at it. There is supposed to be only 3 pins. NOT 4 so if you have 3 your fine.

Carefully tip the phone over and tap it if you have to, to get the track ball to fall into your hand.
Then I suggest taking a cotton swab, and some alcohol, dip the swab.

Then run it all over the ball as you move the ball in all directions and free up what ever is in there, ie; dirt, dust, stuff from your hands...

Once the track ball can move in the down position or in a complete circle without any problems. Let it dry for like 5min.

Drop it back in carefully. Direction of the trackball doesn't matter. Then carefully put the grommet back in the exact way it came out.

Then it should work just fine.

I've used alcohol to clean mine many many times and never had a problem. Alcohol is different that water, it evaporates and doesn't leave a film or damage.

I hope that helps.

My carrier is h2o wireless

If your plan has data, you need to call your carrier and have them provide you with the APN (access point name) and how to enter it into the phone.

The APN is the web address the phone connects to their data servers with. They should have set that up for you when you bought the phone.

Anyways. that's how ya do it. And if they still won't help you. Get a hold of me through here, and I'll get ya hooked up..

Thank you

You can put them on an SD Card then when you plug the phone into the computer don't use Desktop Manager and let the computer see it as a flash drive,

Or.

You can just email them to yourself and save them on your computer at home,

I usually do that personally. And leave the email cause then if anything happens to my phone or computer, I know there's a copy in my email.

Hi, I'm trying to edit

It could be a couple of things. If you have a media card inserted in your device, then it might be a bad media card. A couple of things you should try to fix this are to make sure your Blackberry Desktop manager is up to date. I believe the check for updates link is in the help menu.

The other thing to try is editing the media on your phone directly. Plug the phone into the computer, then click on "my computer" on your desktop. Your phone should show as one of the drives on that screen, and your media card if you have one as a second drive. Open whichever one you want to work with and go to the music folder. You should be able to drag and drop the songs you want into the folder and delete the ones you don't want etc.

Generally your service provider will offer tech support even for problems like this. If you can't solve this yourself, then try calling them. If they can't fix it, try calling RIM tech support, they're quite easy to deal with.

Get message when trying ti

Is there a blackberry symbol near your wireless signal strength indicator (top right corner of home screen)? If the blackberry symbol is there, then you are connected to the RIM network, just don't have an internet connection from your service provider, or it is blocked by your BES network administrator if you are on a work phone.

If you are paying your service provider for data access, then you should contact them as it is likely a problem with your account. If you are on a work device, then you should contact your IT department as either the internet is disabled on their devices, or there is a problem with the settings relating to your device.

If messages are still going through fine for email and BBM, then it isn't a problem with your phone, but with whatever service it is connected to.

8310 won't charge

My phone was doing the same thing. I woke up in the morning to see that is wasn't charging from any outlet or my USB.

I instead concentrated on the USB opening on my phone, and realized that one of the pins was so ever slightly moved up. I took a safetly pin and gently kept bending it back down. Now it charges. Good luck and hope that helps! Just something different from the warranty/flashthrow away solution.

My battery just went dead

It is better change the battery first, know if the phone runs in good condition as well as it charged after a low battery level, when the phone still got the same problem, your phone might be shorted were the value of resistance is double using a multi tester. To test if your phone is grounded, you need a multi tester and range the selector to Rx1 * tap the positive pin in the positive battery terminal of the board as well as the negative pin into the negative battery terminal too,the meter should raise up. * now tap the negative pin of the tester into the positive battery terminal and the positive pin into the negative battery terminal,if the rate is 0 it means the phone is good, but if raises high,it means the phone is grounded and had a power supply problem.in this case, bring the phone to a mobile service center for a complete diagnosis and troubleshooting.

* locate the track ball and dismantle it

* clean and align the board interface which the ball tracker is attach..

* assemble it with care....DONE

good luck....
