there is a filter counter option in the settings menu that will give you the option to reset the counter. once in this menu navigate to the "Used Time" option and there wil be a reset button there.

I have only experienced all the indicators flashing after 3mins of powering up and then suddenly shutting down. I have not yet experienced the indicators flashing straight after turning on.I think the problem for me was that the filter wasn't seated firmly enough in the filter compartment. I was able to stop the indicators flashing by turning off the power at the power point, removing and reinstalling the filter, making sure that it fit firmly and tightly in the compartment. Then I turn the power back on. I believe that sometimes if the filter isn't set in the compartment tightly enough the projector will think that no filter has been installed and will automatically shut down after 3 mins.You also need to make sure that the filter has not run out of scroll. to test this, push down the small, white spool on the left whilst pushing down and turning the large geared spool on the right anticlockwise. If the filter continues to scroll you can still use it. If not, the filter has reached the end of the spool needs to be replaced.

Being an old projector and possibly it has an old lamp fitted. The lamp as it ages produces more heat. The fans as they age unless cleaned regularly. This build up of heat damages firstly the blue LCD imager and then the red. Nothing can be done about that except replace the LCD imagers. As a Sanyo Authorised service department, we used to charge them out at £1031 plus fitting.
