First off get the arcsoft media converter 3, then drag and drop the videos you want to get on your mp3 player into the program, after it converts it loads them onto your mp3 player as long as it?s connected, this program will also allow you to download YouTube videos and put them on your mp3 player too.

You need to replace the battery pack, they do not last forever.

This problem has no solution.Both the Mac store techs and the Sony store techs said the machines are incompatible.

The battery can be changed only at Sony service centers, as per the manual. Please take it to a nearby Sony center to evaluate if you indeed need a battery change, and get them to do it right away.

What you can try doing is to uninstall the driver that the computer has installed for it. To do this, right click on My Computer/Computer (depending on your OS it has different names) click properties, and then manage. Once that opens, on the left menu, select Device Manager. From there, plug in your MP3 player, double click to get to its properties, and then uninstall it. restart your computer, and hopefully that should fix it so you can get into it and format it. It is not required to install any Driver for connecting the Walkman Player to the Computer. The Driver for recognizing the Walkman Player as a MTP Device is already installed in the Computer. You can install the supplied Windows Media Player 11 Software for transferring the files to the Player. You can either Drag and Drop the files using the Windows Explorer to the MUSIC Folder which appears as a Removable Drive or can use the Windows Media Player 11 for transferring. If the Player is not recognized by the Computer, try connecting to different USB ports and try re-installing the USB Driver from the Device Manager.

When you connect it to your computer, go to [Computer] or [My Computer] - [WALKMAN] - [Storage Media] then double click Setup. Do what it says and you'll have the Walkman Guide and Content Transfer installed to your computer. Content Transfer will be on your desktop, open it and drag and drop the songs/photos/videos you want into it.

Are you sure your video is right? What the original format does your video? And what video do you converted to? You can learn the video format supported by windows media at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245608. if your converted video format is right for windows media, the problem is the converter, the converter can not convert the video well. you also can get a free try of this windows video converter, to see whether can see the video.

make sure you've converted it into a compatible format such as wmv try using arcsoft media converter

What I did when I got this error was to push the reset button on the bottom of the player itself... Mine rebooted and took a charge from the computer. Hope this all works for you.

I have a similar model. The file itself needs to be the correct format, otherwise it won't open (this is a limitation on the software/encoding etc). However, once the file is on there, plug in a mini usb, access the walkman through your computer, then open it up that way
