I cant get videos to play i only hear it and thats playing on the audio setting
Are you sure your video is right? What the original format does your video? And what video do you converted to? You can learn the video format supported by windows media at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245608. if your converted video format is right for windows media, the problem is the converter, the converter can not convert the video well. you also can get a free try of this
windows video converter, to see whether can see the video.
How to open the file on the walkman
I have a similar model. The file itself needs to be the correct format, otherwise it won't open (this is a limitation on the software/encoding etc). However, once the file is on there, plug in a mini usb, access the walkman through your computer, then open it up that way

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

How can I get this mp3 player to turn on and
Connect to the PC and see if the player is detected, if not there are errors within and you need to reset the player. If there is no display or active view then there are issues within the player and it is best to take consensus with Sony support especially if the player is within warranty.

My sony walkman NWZ-E443 shows
Ifthe rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall.
ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
I have a new Sony
Check a HOLD slide switch on mp3 player and slide it other side to turn Off HOLD function, mp3 will turn On and work as before.
