My canon P170-DH won't add or subtract. it just continues putting numbers on the screen

A canon P170-DH appears to be a printing calculator, not a computer motherboard. From the description you've given, it would appear a key is stuck in the down position or possibly a sticky liquid such as "pop" has infiltrated the keypad and caused a contact to be held "stuck" in the closed position as if one were continually pressing a key. Some moderate level of skill would be necessary to take the unit apart so that it can be inspected further. First the unit must be unplugged for safety. I suggest taking photos with a digital camera at different stages of the taking apart so as to show original key placement should they all just come out and get mixed up as the unit is taken apart. If the key contacts are comprised of a membrane type keypad, it may not be possible to repair the existing keypad and getting such parts as a keypad for a sub $100.00 calculator could become an issue. With shop repair rates in the range of 60$/hr, the demand for parts may preclude any availability as the issue of professional economical repair becomes unlikely.

My motherboard always restart itself what was the problem

If the PSU power supply units fan is not working the PSU is faulty Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd floppy have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs

power and data to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

even something as small as a faulty power lead or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

make sure ram modules and cmos batteries have dust free secure seatings and cmos battery has charge some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

you might not have enough computer ram

not having enough computer ram will run your computer over its limits putting to much strain on the CPU central processing unit and can cause memory dumps

you might have to many programs trying to or accessing the internet at the same time scroll to bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click select task manager applications you will see whats running if you see anything you dont need running select end now and you might uninstall that specific program if you or computer does not require it to run and some unnecessary programs that could be jamming up your computer also under processes see what is ticking over in the background again if you see something you dont need to be and users you will see who is using your computer you might need to add more computer ram if you're not sure if a module is right for your system use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules. first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system you should always ask for a guarantee on the compatibility of the ram before making any purchase

might be getting hot

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease

Hardware driver not detected

hello gfmmon, maybe u not yet installed the motherboard driver.
the solution is install your motherboard driver to your computer: 1. insert motherboard CD to CD/DVD drive 2. open device manager (u can find it at control center or type devmgmt.msc on Run command) 3. in device manager window, you will see mark (it can be question mark or exclamation mark). 4. for every mark u need to update the driver. choose one of them, right click and choose update driver. follow the step then your driver will automatically installed. 5. use the step for every mark until all driver installed. if there is still some mark in device manager window then u need to install the driver manually. so u need to browse your motherboard CD (sometimes Audio driver and Chipset driver need to install manually)
NB: if your motherboard CD have autorun feature then it will more easy to install the driver. Click the autorun then follow the step..
hope this useful, regards.

My pc has a problem and must restart every time.

i dont know of this bios error but if a computer restarts all of the time for no apparent reason

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working hope this helps also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer

also check the Cmos battery and computer ram make sure they are securely seated

hope this helps
