Frigidaire FWTBB30DS Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
Fridgidaire FWT449GFS2: My front loader
The machine will not advance to the spin cycle unless the wash water is drain properly and the auxiliary spin switch within the door lock/switch assembly is activated. The first thing to check is the coin trap hose; the big black hose connection the bottom of the tub and the drain pump. Consider replacing the door lock/switch assembly if no issue is found with the coin trap hose and the drain pump.
Unplug the machine or disconnect power and remove the screws attaching the bottom front panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off. Prop up
the front bottom edge of the washer or cushion
and lean it against the
wall to access the screws more easily. Drain the tub first, if necessary, by placing the end of the drain hose over a container positioned as low as possible to extract as much water.
Loosen the clamps securing the coin trap hose
to the bottom of the tub and the drain pump inlet then clean and
remove any debris stuck therein. Please a piece of towel underneath to catch residual water. Inspect the pump impeller by turning
it with your finger. The impeller may be restricted or damaged
resulting in water not pumped out properly. Replace the pump if
the impeller is broken or restricted and doesn't turn freely. Reassemble
the machine by following the steps above in reverse order. Click on the link below for information regarding the replacement of the door lock/switch assembly, if necessary.

LOUD KNOCKING RUMBLING NOISE DURING
Hi,
Take out the three screws in the bottom front cover and look in there....
On each side about half way back are little shock absorbers the hold the tub....
The rings break off of the ends of these...then the tub flops free....
They are not hard to replace and can be ordered online...the new ones are actually heaviewr then the original...
the hardest part is getting the pins in and out, but a little persistence will pay off...
Check out this tip I wrote about the noise and vibration that front load washers can make..

Noisy Spin Cycle
It sounds like the dreaded rear spider corrosion and breakage issue.. You may find your washer is not worth repairing.
Washer fills, agitates and drains
- Test the lid switch
- Inspect the motor coupler
- Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
- Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
- Test the motor
- Inspect the pulley
- Test the transmission
- Inspect the agitator
- Inspect the pump coupling
- Test the water level switch
These are the common problems of a washer that will not spin. In my opinion I would say check the transmission. Any more questions feel free to ask.

Check to see that the switch is actully being activated when door is closed. I wiggled the door upward to notice the machine started working. I then wedged a piece wood or wooden pencil in the botton of the door crack and that caused the switch to activate.
Switch is okay but the door alignment needed to be fixed.
Door will not lock Machine buzzes when we try to
Hello,
The machine will make a number of attempts to lock (usually 6 tries) and then alarm.
Check your lock and latch for damage. Check for loose attachment points (screws) and then check for loose wiring to the switch, and at the brain. Make sure that all of your electrical connections are "clean and bright".
If none of this corrects your problem, changing the lock assembly would be next, followed by the brain.
Best regards, --W/D--
Dirt streaks appear after laundering
Grease seal for the bearings need to be replace. Unless you are a DIYer this is an expensive repair. Labor to install a new grease seal is about 400 to 500 dollars depending on the area. Parts will run about 100 to 150 dollars. The grease seal is cheap about a $10.00 part, but since ypou have the washer torn apart, and the grease seal has fail, you should also replace the bearings.
