Maybe a faulty LCD in the switch, when it is on check your operating system to ensure the adapter is enabled. Usually an indicator in the system tray. if not you will have to check the device manager to see if it is enabled. If the light is off but the operating system is recognising the adapter and it all works I wouldn't worry about the lack of a light.

You should try to remember the code, if they do no provide it, contact sony support if the bios is locked, they need to provide the code for you.

The other thing to try is to see if you have disabled the touchpad by accident. Some touchpads have a small button near them which turns them off, to avoid accidental use, if you have plugged in an external mouse.

You could also see if the touchpad is disabled by right clicking on "Computer" and selecting "Manage" and double clicking on "Device Manager". See if anything is disabled in this list.

Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer on, and immediately enter BIOS SETUP mode.
Enter the current BIOS password.
Set a new BIOS password. Write it down!
Save/Exit from BIOS setup.

in order to reset the bios password you will need to remove the cmos battery and leave it out for about 15 minutes. This allows the stored up charge in the capacitors to dissapate, and after they discharge is should be reset back to original factory bios setting.
once into your bios, make any changes needed for specific hardware before you reboot computer and go into diagnostic testing mode.

have you tried in safe mode with networking if you can download mozilla at mozilla.com and run it and that should fix your problem

Hi Irene - There are many ways to send photos and so I am assuming you are sending them by email. If this is not correct, please provide more info. Within your email program send a new message. In the new message, click on Attach File or Insert Picture. Which ever you choose, it will open a box that will allow you to locate your photo files on your laptop. Select the ones you want and they will be added to the email. They will also remain intact on your laptop. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Looks like the problem is not the speaker is the microphone. You need to go to Control Panel then Sound and click on Recording tab.You need to be able to see the Microphone setup, you need to configured it. Good luck!

You must have dropped water on your laptop. You will need to replace the keyboard with a new one. Check on Ebay for a replacement keyboard their prices are cheaper.You can also just buy a portable bluetooth keyboard instead of replacement keyboard.

try to reinstall your sound device driver...right click your my computer icon on the desktop then click hardware then click device manager then click sound,video and game controllers the right click the first item under that. after right click the first item click properties click on driver then lastly click update driver. be sure to have an internet connection when doing this..hope this will solve your problem....
