CD driver for my laptop cannot be found
try deleteing the upper and lower filters of your CDROM drive.
here's the procedure:
-
Click Start and then click All Programs.
- Click Accessories, and then click Run.
- Type regedit, and then click OK.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
- In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
- In the right pane, click UpperFilters.
Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 8.
- On the Edit menu, click Delete.
- When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
- In the right pane, click LowerFilters.
Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further. Go to the "Next Steps" section for information about how you can find more solutions or more help on the Microsoft Web site.
- On the Edit menu, click Delete.
- When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
- Exit Registry Editor.
- Restart the computer.

My cd drive wont read disks, but it will allow me
There could be several causes, but because you mentioned your internet as a second symptom, it leads me to believe you may have a virus.
What exactly occurs when you try to read a disk for the second time? Do you get an error? Does the drive letter disappear?
I suggest you obtain a decent anti-virus, put it on a USB stick, and install it on your laptop from there. Avast! is free, as is AVG anti-virus. I recommend you get a free trial of a paid copy, however, so that you can do a full scan for root-kits, MBR, etc. Avast! Internet Security is good, as is Trend Micro and/or Norton.

When i try powering up
this is usually indicative of a battery that is faulty and wont hold sufficient charge.
and usually - if the battery will not charge - it is the DC power jack that has failed.
does the "charging" light come on when it is plugged into the wall?

Black colors turns to red
It is not due to bad connection it is due to bad software driver version of graphics driver. I recommend you to install correct version of graphics driver like Intel's driver.

DVD/CD Drive will not read discs
it is likely that your dvd drive is defective. the drive is held in by one screw either on the bottom or under the keyboard. once you pull it out you will see the model number for it and then can find one either at a good computer store or on ebay and replace it and your problem will be fixed
