as you would normally do....unfortunately your make/model machine is well known for faulty optical drive. If you purchased it recently.....and you cannot get it to read the disk......contact the suppler if you have any warranty left. There are numerous rreports of this fault online I am afraid

did you try using the original disk that came with the laptop and use it to repair computer. or uncorrupted copy could also be a virus

If you are wanting to clean quite specifically under the keyboard, (circuit board and all) you will need to start by removing the battery from the computer. Then remove the plastic tab below uncovering the RAM. When you do that you will see 3 screws right below the battery and then 2 under the plate you just removed labled with a keyboard picture. when you remove all of these screws flip the computer back over and open the screen. Using a small flathead screwdriver gently pull up on the edges of the keyboard until it releases. Be careful once its released as there is a ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to your laptops motherboard. You can download the latest driver from your pc`s manugacturer website and re-install it. Hopefull this shall solve your problem.

Try another known working battery in the laptop and see if it charges, if it doesn't then its going to be a problem with hairline cracks in the dc jack on the laptop. The solder points underneath the dc jack if they have hairline cracks in them won't allow the battery to charge. Basically the laptop would need to be taken apart and the motherboard taken out.

If you have soldering skills, all that needs to be done is to put new solder on the solder points that hold the dc jack in place.

If after you do this the battery still wont charge then you know for sure the connector is bad and then the connector would need to be replaced.
