I change the MB and my computer is not staying on

Put old motherboard back in. If it's just shutting off randomly start unplugging perriferials until something lets your computer stay on (ex: take out all but one stick of ram, maybe only leave 1 fan in, take out any PCI/PCI-E, etc)

A 2year old put a train ticket inside the dvd/cd drive and now its stuck

There are two ways toopen the CD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject. If this does not work then you can manually open the CD drive tray by -Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drivetray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive traypops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CDdisc. If you continue having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD driveis faulty and needs replacing.

Dell Xps M1330 New motherboard failure.

When you removed or put in the CPU and the Heat Sink did you put a fresh coat of Thermal Paste on them? If not that is like metal touching metal and it will short out when you try to boot up. The other problem might be that either one of your memory chips is bad or one of the slots on the board that holds the memory is bad.

Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, Remove the cover that houses the memory on the bottom of the laptop then remove one of the memory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the open memory chip slot and try booting.
